improving the quality of teaching and learning is the most significant issue.
“How to help students gain all the knowledge and utilize skillfully?”As we may
know, English is simply one of school subjects.
Whether at school, grade school, the teaching and learning of English,
vocabulary is one of three components of the knowledge of the language system
and serves as a vehicle, conditions of formation and development of skills. The
vocabulary communication skills can be considered as the most important part
because it is the means used to express ideas and there is also a bridge between
the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. In any language, the role of
vocabulary is also very important. Can find a language is a set of vocabulary. Can
not understand the language without understanding the vocabulary, or through the
lexical units. But that does not mean that only understand the individual lexical
units, independent of each other that can only be mastered through language

Recognizing the importance of this, today all the methods applied in

language is always associated with learning vocabulary. On the other hand, as
we already know, learning and proficient use of the target language vocabulary
plays an important role in the process of teaching and learning any foreign
language. Vocabulary knowledge is a tool to help students with the ability to set
and communicate successfully.
Currently in primary school English teaching and learning going on, along
with innovation education methods, in order to match the perceptions of
students, help students get access to the content. English vocabulary in the
curriculum is also used in line with the overall development of the social and
psychological characteristics of students.This requires each teacher to use,
versatile, flexible methods and techniques of teaching to meet the needs and
different learning conditions in the locality. Moreover, the supply of funds from
subjects, themes. How to give students a rich vocabulary and thereby help them
to shape and develop the capacity to use English as a communication tool. That
is a big question to be answered in order to improve the quality of learning of
students Elementary vocabulary.
II. Research Situation
1. The real state
In the language schemes of the Ministry of Education 2008-2020, specific
objectives of the program is English primary school after finishing grade,
students can:
- Students must achieve level A1
- There is a vocabulary of 500-700 words including language oral and pen.
- Students can apply learned vocabulary in simple communication
situations through the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing mainly
on writing and speaking, listening and speaking.

In our country today, the teaching and learning of English in schools
takes place in the communication environment of teachers and students, there
are many limitations: Teachers read and list the words in the teachers had never
appeared in the teaching process called new words, then scored all teachers both

- Many parents especially parents in rural areas do not see the importance

Specific:
From the 2003-2004 school year elementary school Ngoc Trao officially
put into teaching English courses in schools. But English subjects than other
subjects such as Mathematics, Vietnamese... not yet parents and students realize
the importance; Students are still neglected, ignored, parents were not interested.
They only emotional excitement, eager to receive the beginner days. The more
you learn, the harder, less ability to remember vocabulary, leading to poor child's
vocabulary gradually while complex grammar gradually, leading to student ratio
low favorite subjects.
On the other hand, the amount of time devoted to this subject is too small,
only 2 more per week, in which teachers have to teach all of the cages as
introducing new language (new words, new phrases), the practical speaking,
listening... just one more so it is difficult for teachers to teach vocabulary
carefully.

Although textbooks have very modern, beautiful form, presenting clear,
eye-catching images. Lessons thematic structure, close to the daily life for the
purpose of monitoring the needs of their excitement. But the program taught in a
school are using multiple types of books, a variety of programs (old, new).
Therefore, the study of teachers' difficulties, not depth.

Therefore, although very difficult, but we must recognize that learning
English at the moment is the beginning of building the basic foundation of
knowledge for students, are necessary conditions for them to carry step up to the
higher levels of education. Therefore, teaching and learning English in primary
school is a very interesting problem. To solve that problem, teachers should
create rich form of teaching, diversity. In which the application of good
techniques and methods taught is one of the forms of attracting more students to
participate in learning and provides highly effective in increasing the capital
from them. Teachers must have the appropriate teaching methods for each
lesson. Now with the modern equipment we can apply creativity to make many
interesting ways to teach vocabulary, effective and attractive, creating a diverse
playground colorful in English.With the size of the subject I have no ambition
and not enough to make all the way to teach vocabulary in English, but only
wish to vocabulary teaching methods will help students learn effectively and do
not feel pressure when learning vocabulary. How to introduce and test the

8. Review vocabulary through songs
Teachers always have to introduce and practice vocabulary in a particular
context to make it clearer and to experience more memorable. The conversation,
stories, songs are an effective way to the context of the language to them easy to
understand and easy to remember. The best tool we can use in the classroom is
the witty; therefore, search for materials capable of amusing for the students.
In English class, the vocabulary is remembered most effectively through
the songs with repetitive passages with strong rhythm and catchy melody. In fact,
teachers can create a steady tone for most of the structure or sequence of the
teaching. singing of short phrases, or even all the questions and answers will
simply stimulate student speech and save language into memory.
9. Help “save” language
When students have "practiced" a group of words or a specific structure,
to ensure what is in short-term memory is transformed into long-term memory.
To do this, teachers need to create more opportunities to reuse and review.
Make up a bank of new words is also a good idea to help students reflect on
what they have learned. Each class teacher brings to class cards to the members of
the group can examine or cross-examine each of you in the other groups. Teachers
ask students to divide themselves into groups learned from appropriate, even build

IV. The effectiveness of the project
To be a successful English lessons are introducing vocabulary, and help
students learn vocabulary, vocabulary used is very important.
- Teachers need to identify good teaching vocabulary in English is to help
students good addition to the skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Students develop vocabulary, have the ability to select, arrange sentences, ideas
clearly. Train thinking abilities rich imagination and the ability of students to use
the word. Thereby helping students confident, able to behave, communicate
flexibility and the ability to use English in daily life and in everyday life.
- At the begining of the lesson, teachers must clearly identify the main
content, understanding the purpose and requirements of the lesson so that the
choice of teaching methods accordingly.
- Create a comfortable, lively lesson, cooperation of mutual trust between
teachers and students to promote positive thinking good of the students.
Teachers should use the terminology simple, easy to understand during lectures.
- Updates the information related to teaching English in primary schools.
- Understanding the psychological characteristics of students at each age.

- Self study teacher always educate yourself, contact exchange
experiences with colleagues in teaching.
- Regular use of teaching aids and equipment in the room in English.
I believe that if you continue to experience this innovation seriously,
throughout the process, the quality of teaching academic subjects in English in
primary schools in Ngoc Trao in particular and in general elementary schools
will get better results. To assert that I conducted for students in grades 3 to do a
control test at the end of the school year. Through quality survey after applying
this theme at the end of 2016-2017 school year, I realized that students have
obvious changes. Generally students love more subjects. Good understanding
and grasp all. The four skills training pretty good level. Ability to use language
fairly. Results obtained through the end of the school year 2016-2017 survey in
primary schools in Ngoc Trao as follows:

C- CONCLUSION AND PROPOSAL
I. Conclusion
Vocabulary plays an important role in the language system. There are no
adequate vocabulary, people can not use the word as a means of communication.
The vocabulary taught English for Primary students properly help students with
a means of communication to comprehensive development. Vocabulary richer
students how much greater usability, more accurately, communication activities
will be made clear and sharper.
The success of the teaching depends foremost on the atmosphere necessary
to communicate words that teachers create classroom, it is important how the
students adapt to such communication. In addition, teachers must have a method
to all the students can remember vocabulary effectively, give them multiple
learning strategies and different stimuli. Agents can use images, sound agent and
most importantly, attract the participation of students; in which they not only
hear, see, but also to perform the movements. Finally, teachers need realistic
about goals and expectations about what individual students may encounter and
the time they need to rehearse, memorize and study.
II. Proposal
1. For students
- Encourage students to learn and use vocabulary to communicate in English.
- Encourage students to study in groups and the establishment of the
English-speaking or English clubs in the classroom or dynamic volume
gradually, more confident.
- Tell them always have the habit to inculcate review old knowledge.

2. For teachers
- Give children a love, a passion for the English language as well as
awareness of the importance of English in our lives.
- Regularly inspect and evaluate the results of student learning as well as
praise, encourage timely reminder.
- Do not stop investing, expanding knowledge and innovative teaching
methods.
- In addition, teachers should also regularly attend another hour on that
basis for comments and learning experience.
3. For upper leader
- Construction of function rooms available for projectors for teaching and
learning English.
- I suggest that Department of District Education and training will
organize an English exchange program for all English primary teachers so that
we have opportunity to share experience and initiatives in teaching English and
have chance to practice speaking English with each other.
In writing this topic, short-comings are unavoidable; therefore,
