A. Cấu trúc với as if/ as though
1. Nếu tình huống ở hiện tại

Có thật: 
Không có thật: 

S + V(s/ es) + as if/ as though + S +V(s/es)
S + V(s/ es) + as if/ as though + S +V2/Ved)

 
Eg:
He acts as if/ as though he knows the answers. (He really knows the answers)
(Anh ta thể hiện cứ như anh ta đã biết đáp án rồi vậy - Sự thực là anh ta có
biết đáp án).
He acts as though/ as if he knew the answers. (He doesn’t know the answers.
He just pretend that he knows)
(Anh ta thể hiện cứ như thể anh ta biết đáp án rồi vậy - Thực tế là anh ta chả
biết gì. Anh ta chỉ giả vờ thôi).

2. Nếu tình huống ở quá khứ
Có thật: 
S + V2/ -ed + as if/ as though + S + have/ has + V3/ -ed
Không có thật: S + V2/ -ed + as if + S + had + V3/ -ed

Eg:
She looked as if she has had some bad news. (She really has some bad
news).
(Trông cô ấy cứ như là vừa nghe tin dữ xong vậy - Cô ấy sự thực có tin buồn)
She looked as if she had had some bad news. (She has just waken up).
(Trông cô ấy cứ như vừa nghe tin dữ xong vậy - Thực sự là cô ấy mới ngủ dậy
nên mặt bờ phờ vậy thôi chứ không có tin dữ gì hết).

B. Cấu trúc với it's time/ it's high time
It’s time, It’s high time (đã tới lúc)
1. Sử dụng cụm từ to infinitive (to-V).
It’s time/ It’s high time + (for somebody) + to V
Ví dụ: It’s time (for you) to go to sleep. (Đã đến lúc đi ngủ rồi)
2. Sử dụng mệnh đề ở dạng quá khứ đơn.
It’s time/ It’s high time + S + V2/ -ed
Eg:
Ví dụ: It’s high time (that) I had to improve my English. (Đã
đến lúc tôi phải cải thiện vốn tiếng anh của mình)
