Jotun exterior Putty is right.

In case, side wall on gondola is impossible to be
supplied from each floor, that’s why the mixing
bucket should carry on gondola from ground.
By visual checking and controlling the dilution while
mixing to water & putty or paint.
In order to check for density, paint layers will be
checked by the tool of wet film thickness.
By visual checking and controlling the dilution while
mixing to water & putty or paint.
It will be submitted on September.
Now the painting Method is focused on Mock up
room.
- Protection for painted surface has no solution when
it rained, however, before applying paint, the rain
possibility will be presumed that checking humidity by
phychro-meter, also refer to the national weather
forecast, based on that we will get decision to
proceed.
- Checking tool of the surface humidity shall be used
by moisture-meter.
- Inspection is normally conducted 3-5 point per wall.
- Inspection form is inserted at the end of annex 2.
- Method statement of gondola installation work shall
be submitted on September.
- Gondola usage needs to show for the gable wall
painting situation that shall be proceeded from top to
bottom. And materials shall be loaded from bottom .
then also , mixing proportion shall be carried out on
gondola because it can be loaded till 700kg and has

Jotasealer Primer is internal Primer, why did you apply it for exterior
painting work (item 21 – page 9/96)

Based on technical data of Jotun Exterior Putty mixing ratio of putty
and water is 3:1 by weight. It means that 1 bag/40kg of putty will be
mixed with 13 litres of water, why did your MOS indicate 16 litres of
water?

Based on technical data of Jotun Exterior Putty and Jotun Internal
Putty, the drying time of them is different one recoated after 8 hours
and another is 24 hours. So please separate.

This MOS only mentioned to Jotun Putty whether there is any
difference (ex: consumtion, application sequence, mixing…) if you use
Seamaster Putty?
This MOS did not indicate details of Gondola, so you are required to
submit separately for Gondola.

It is mis-naming for Jotasealer primer of external
wall, So, proper brand name is Jotashield primer
those are slightly different of spelling. And internal
primer’s name is Jotasealer 03, Those brand names
are also very similar but different from internal thing.
Confirmed dilution ratio: 40Kg Putty/ 13 litres of water
for normal case.

We need extra water, in case the plain surface is too
dry so that it can get adequate adhesion.
The standard drying duration is indicated on
technical data sheet. However, its time depends on
the condition on humidity & windy. The other words,
inside areas there are times to get higher humility
and less ventilation than outside one, in this case,
the drying time should be adjusted by crafts mas’
perception on each job’s detail.
It will be complied as technical data sheet.
Supplier confirmed that when the paint comes to dry
in the bucket over 2 hour, water should be added in it
in order to keep the proper viscosity.
It’s typo, it’s corrected.
It’s the only putty material in this work and
consumption, application, sequence, and mixing
information is indicated on the statement and
annexes, especially on technical data.
It will be submitted on September.

There will be some location where you can not use Architecture
working cage and Gondola for painting work. So could you tell us you
intend to use Spider man for painting work if any you have to get
approval from RP client.


The remained external area can be accessed all
around because the gondola can adjust to approach
with extension by 1.7m.
It shall be able to controlled how finished topcoat is
by ;
o Apply fully paint system as proposed and got
approved.
o Carefully check the surfaces right after applying
the primer coat, polish or make even (if need)
o While applying each layer of top coats, It shall be
strictly exam the worker’s diluting the paint and
water (with ratio as proposed in Technical Data
sheet) to avoid the result of finished layer too thin.
It could incur some damage very soon. So we will
try to reduce it also.
o After completion of applying, check about colour
and aesthetic for the finalization.

1. SCOPE
This method statement is for the Painting work.
The working Platform and Gondola will be installed step by step, safely fulfilling as
the installation plan by special team based on each method statement.

2. GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
To avoid dangerous and expensive consequences, the following points should be
observed :

 All operations should be carried out by special team, under the immediate
supervision of an SSang-yong safety dept.
 For the applying process, a roped -off area is required .The area should be
large enough to permit the components to be stacked and handled, and the
applying to be without Interfering site activities and risking the other site
personnel. Sufficient area must be set aside for the high position work.

3. EQUIPMENTS AND TOOLS / TACKLES
 Gondola & Scaffolding :
 For treatment of substrate at the external wall surface.
 For applying of paniting materials such as Skim coat, Putty, Primer, Paint at
the external wall.
 Hand tool :
 All tools and tackles supplied by special team under supervision of Ssangyong safety dept.

5.2. Description of working sequence.
5.2.1 External Mock up painting
1) Surface must be dried. To ensure moisture substance not exceeding
20%.
 Checking with Moisture Meter.
2) To remove foreign and unstable matters such as dirt powder, cement
splashes and other contaminants.
 Manual cleaning by chipping, scrapping or wire brushing.

3) Surface must be free from oil and grease.
 Wiping with cloth dampened solvent.

5.2.2 External Wall Painting
