II. Phonetic ( kiểm tra trọng âm)
1. Stress in words ending in –ic/ ­al, ­ese/ ­ ee, ­logy/ ­graphy, ­ity/ ­itive, ­ful/ ­less.
*Ex: ath’letic, his’torical, Japa’nese, adop’tee, tech’nology, bi’ography, oppor’tunity,

2. Stress in words starting with un­/ im­.

III. GRAMMAR
1. Simple present tense
* Form: S + V(s/es) + O
* Ex: America celebrates Thanksgiving Day on the fourth Thursday of November
2. Present simple for the future
* Ex: Our school year starts next week, on September 5th
* Notes: We use the present simple with a future meaning when we talk about schedules, 
                            programmes (Ex: public transport, cinema, television, school…)
3. Future simple tense
* Form: S + will + Inf.
* Ex: I will meet you tomorrow morning

4. Future continuous tense
* Form: S + will be + V­ing
* Ex: I will be meeting you at 8 o’clock tomorrow morning
5. Past perfect
* Form: S + had + PP
* Ex: Most people had left before the volcano erupted
* Use: 
­ To describe an action before a stated time in the past
­ To describe an action that happened before another action in the past
6. Verb + to Inf./ Gerund
Need/ want/ try/ choose/ decide/ plan/ intend + to Inf.


* Ex: They want to see Superman 3 this Sunday
7. May and Might
* Form: S + may/ might + Inf.
* Ex: There may/ might be life on other planets
8. Conditional sentences
a. Conditional sentences type 1
*Form :

*Ex : If you study hard,
you will get high mark
b. Conditional sentences type 2

a. Present simple tense :

10. Reported speech
a. Statement:

* Ex: Nam said, “I want to become a robot designer”
      Nam said that he wanted to become a robot designer
b. Wh – questions
* Form: S + asked + O + question word + Clause
* Ex: She asked me: “What were you doing at the time?”
      She asked me what I was doing/ I had been doing at the time
c. Yes/ No question
* Form: S + asked + O + if/ whether + Clause
* Ex: Nam asked Hoa: “Did the alien talk to you?”
