In my opinion, there are still a lot each individual can do to help in (1)_______________ the
environment. Individuals play a vital (2)____________ because their activities may protect or
do (3)_________ to the environment. In fact, our daily activities affect considerably our

can make a big contribution and enormous (5)____________ to our environment.
1. Do you think large companies and business organizations should be more environmental

friendly? Why? How?
I definitely agree. Since these large companies and business organizations are responsible for
some of the environmental problems due to the huge amount of industrial waste and gas
emission. So undoubtedly, they should run the companies in an environmentally friendly way.
For instance, they should take more prudence in the dumping into the nearby water sources.

They also need to be more careful with the emission into the air, not to cause air pollution.
So, although large factories and organizations can pose great threats to the environment, by
paying more attention to the environmental issues and follow proper procedures, they can still
operate well without doing any harm to our living planet.
2. How can we teach children about the importance of protecting the environment?

There is a variety of ways we can do to raise the awareness of children about the protecting
the environment. Firstly, in terms of formal education, schools can incorporate lessons into
the curriculum to educate children about the role of the environment. In addition, extra
curriculum can be more about environmental issues where small children can have a real
picture in their mind, from which they can form their awareness of protecting our green
space. These field trips can have a very positive impact on them, helping encourage students
to live more environmentally friendly.
The most important thing, in my opinion, lies within the family itself. Parents should set
good examples for their children to follow and the awareness about the environment can only
be drummed into a child’s head day by day by the people around him/her.
