USAGE:
1.actions that started in the past and continue in the present.
She has been waiting for you all day.( and she’s still waiting now)
2. Actions that have just finished, but we are interested in the
results.
I am very tired now because I have been working hard for 12 hours.

1.actions that started in the past and continue in the present.

2. Actions that have just finished, and we can see the results in the
present.

The similariites: Used with certain verbs without changing the
meanings: hope, learn, lie, live, look, rain, sleep, sit, snow,
stand, stay, study, teach, wait, work
-Clue words: lately, recently, how long, for, since

have been waiting for her since 2 o’clock.
Jane : Really? You have been waiting for her for 3 hours
and she hasn’t came
Tom : Not yet.
Jane: Don’t be silly, Ryan. I know “love is blind” but…not
you…. a strong man
Tom:  You don’t understand. I really love her. And we were
broke up because of me.
