By the end of the lesson, Ss will able to:
- be updated with the name of some well-known universities in Viet Nam, in England.
- talk about their favorite universities which they would like to apply
- develop reading skills

Integrated skills, mainly communicative

Text book, teaching plan, cassettes tape

questions about the application process
to tertiary study in Viet Nam
1.S1: When (At what month) do you fill
in and send the application form?
S2: In March.
2. S1: When do you take the GCSE
examination?
S2: in May.
3. S1: At what month can we get the
GCSE exam result?
S2: In June, I guess so.

6. Self-comment:
In order to be admitted to a university in Vietnam, all students have to following the
process of applying. During March, they have to fill in the application form and send it to
the university they choose in March. After passing the GCSE examination held in May, all
students are able to sit for the entrance examination in July. Successful candidates will be
sent a letter of acceptance from the university. All students have to do now is to prepare
all required papers to be officially accepted of that university.
