<b>I/ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to identify and pronounce the letter Nn </b>
and its sound correctly.Then SS can understand, recognize and say the new words of letter N in
the words: Nick, Nam, noodles and nuts. They can practise sound /n/ of the words “ Nick, Nam,
noodles and nuts” by chanting. Then they can tick (v) the picture what they hear.

<b>1. Warm up.</b> Get SS to stand up and sing the Vietnamese
song.

- Introduce the topic : In the school canteen.
- Introduction of letter Nn, its sound and how
to pronounce the words beginning with Nn
- Use a card with letter Nn (or write on board
the letter Nn) to introduce to the students the
new lesson.
- Instruct students how to pronounce the
letter name and the letter sound by saying:
“This is the letter N/en/The letter N says /n/.”
- Repeat several times and check students’
pronunciation (letter N/en/ and its sound /n/)
- Use the flash cards with Nick, Nam,
<b>noodles and nuts , read the words out loud </b>
and have students repeat.
- Use gestures (hand actions) to help students
to understand the meanings of the four words.
- Stick the cards on board and have students
repeat the words chorally several times (in
the correct order and then in any order).
- Call some students to say the words out
loud and correct their mistakes (if any)
- Play the CD for Ss to listen, point and
repeat.
- Ask Ss to point to the pictures and say the
words in pair.

bus, truck and sun. And Ask Ss to identify
them.
- Have Ss point to the pictures and say the
words.
- Ask Ss to role-play and read the model
sentence.

- Have them to role-play and practise in pairs.

rest of the song.
-Play the CD. Ask Ss to do repetition of the
song line by line.
- Get them to sing the song together and clap
hands.
- Call two groups to the front of the class to
sing. The students sing and do corresponding

(v) the picture what they hear. Ss will be able to say “ I can see a something/animal using “I
<b>can see a…………..” . They can write letter L and fill in the gaps. Then they can sing a song. </b>
