Many people still believe that natural resources will never be used up. Actually, the world’s energy
resources are limited. Nobody knows exactly how much fuel is left. However, we also should use them
economically and try to find out alternative (sự lựa chọn) sources of power. According to Professor
Marvin Burnham of the New England Institue of Technology, we have to conserving (lưu trữ) coal, oil
and gas before it is ti late; and nuclear power is the only alternative.


However, many people do not approve of using nuclear power because it’s very dangerous. What
would happen if there was a serious nuclear accident? Radioactivity (kích hoạt phóng xạ) causes cancer
and may badly affect the future generations.


The most effective thing is that we should use natural resources as economical as possible.

Air pollution causes ill health to human beings. In a lot of countries, there are laws limiting the
amount of smoke which factory can produce although there is not enough information on the effects of
smoke on the atmostphere. Doctors have proved that air pollution causes lung disease. The gases from
the exhuasts of cars have also increase air pollution in most cities. The lead in petrol produces a
poisonous gas (khí độc) which is collected in busy streets. Children who live in areas where there is a
lot of lead in the atmosphere can not think as quickly as other children, and are clumsy (vụng về) when
they use their hands.
