of the country. Therefore, I agree with the statement “Some people think that a person can never
understand the culture of country unless they speak the language.” because there are some reasons
below.
Firstly, it is very easy for us to understand the tradition of the country which we haven’t lived there
yet if we know the language of that country. For instance, we can talk to the local people who are
native speakers.
Secondly, speaking a language helps us to be easy to get a good job in the future. Mr. Tam my
neighbor have been working for a foreign company since he can speak English vey fluently. Now his
salary is very high, so he can support his old parents and his family life is stable.
Finally, speaking a language is very useful for traveling. When you know how to speak English and
you travel to another country, think about where you could go if you spoke English, perhaps
Australia, England, the US or many other countries. Actually, English is an international language is
a different one, we can still communicate with people in English. Besides, making friends from
different countries all over the world is not difficult. So why don’t we plan our next vacation abroad?
In short, I believe that speaking foreign language is very important because it always brings a lot of
benefits for our life. Now I try my best to know many languages which are popular in the world.

international issues and conflicts. And it is an important skill to be able to shift perspectives and see

Finally, through traveling you will be able to learn a new language which is part of the culture of a
country. When you are living in a foreign country, you will be forced to challenge and practice your

In short, traveling abroad is still the best way to experience the culture first-hand and be able to

Firstly, I must clarify one important conception – the traditional costume is merely one part of the
tradition. We can hardly draw the conclusion that our tradition and history will be obliterated if we do
not wear traditional costumes.

Secondly, the culture is always changing. It reveals a significant truth that our tradition and history
are advancing. Therefore, tradition should not be limited to ancient cultural icons.
Finally, it is our freedom to choose what we want to wear. Our basic right cannot be deprived of
anybody. For example, the assumption that the government requires everybody to wear Tang costume
does not equal to the renaissance of the Tang Dynasty.
In short, I disagree with the proposal of re-wearing traditional costumes.

I agree with the statement “It is said that modern life is better today than it was in the last century.”
because there are some reasons.
To begin with, modern life gets better and better means that people live in a higher condition. There
are more tall buildings in big cities, but in the last century, people used to live in small houses and
cottages. Furthermore, people travel by car, bus, train, plane and so on. Especially, now women have

the right in society, stand for election and also be respected in the family.
Another reason is that the advance of technology is useful in our daily life. People can talk
anywhere they like by using electric devices such as smartphones or laptops. Thanks to modern
technology, the world’s economy has grown quickly and the proportions of the poor or disabled in a
society have considerably decreased.
In summary, it’s true to say that modern life is better than it was. Better means change. On the other
hand, in the last century, people used to live in an uncomfortable life without modern technology.
5. Today, many students have part time jobs. However, it is said that working after class affects
their study and health. What is your opinion?
Today, many students have part time jobs which bring them some benefits, but working after
class affects their study and health.
On the other hand, the first advantage is that students can earn money to pay the tuition. Moreover,
earning money also helps students have a sense of independence. Another advantage is that students
can acquire more experiences and polish their skills when taking part time jobs. It can helps students
develop their organizational and multi-tasking skills.
On the contrary, there are some disadvantages, too. First of all, it is the lack of time for focus on
studies. Students doing part-time jobs are busy running between the working place and the university.
AS a result, they get exhausted and even skip classes to have a sleep after work. Moreover, they may
experience stress with a difficult or time-consuming project. Also, it can endanger the health.
In short, taking part time jobs is not only useful but also harmful for study.. And when we take it, we
can’t ignore our other duties.

Firstly, all the professions from doctor to engineer has directly contributed to the society through
their service, donation, to the charity or needy people. Therefore, the government should provide
scholarships, education loan and other benefits.
Secondly, poor students cannot pay full tuition fees as it is expensive. They are the asset to the
society, so they have to be given high priority in education.
Finally, college students are working hard for their dream career and it will earn high salaries. Status
and respect from the society, paying fees will not be a problem to the students.
To conclude, university students are the future generation of the society and their contribution to the
communal activities are remarkable. The government and educational institution should take steps to
reduce or sponsor tuition fees for the students.

is a creative industry that employs many people, therefore, providing job chances and income for

are looking forward to be physically fit and to live in a better place with no pollution. And one of the
ways to have a healthy lifestyle and curb pollution is cycling. Although much can be said in favor of

In short, I agree that the use of bicycle is the best way to travel from place to place as the advantages
that I have written here have far outweighed the disadvantages of cycling. Through this, aside from

We are living in a fast developing society with incredible changes that improve the quality of
life. Almost everyday there's something new and different is brought to our life. The 21st century, a
promising and expected most century,has begun. I hope it would bring some changes to the world of
technology,healthcare and medical science, and culture.
First of all, the 21st century is expected to be the century of very quickly progressing technology.
Computer controlled robots and machines will gradually replace manual labor or the use of human
effort. This will help people save time and power that should be spent more generating ideas and
scientific research to find new solutions for vital problems the world is facing such as diseases,
polution, growth population. Also, I expect the new century will bring more changes to computer
technology.The computers upgraded will be faster and more advanced to meet more demands of
people. We will have mini computers with high-speed internet conection that gives us quick access to
it any time and any where.
Second of all, the next change I expect from the new century would be the improvements in
healthcare as well as medical science. There's some threatening diseases such as cancers and AIDS as
we know are still a question that has no answer. I hope in near future of the 21st century there will be
medicines and methods of treatment found such diseases. People will not suffer from these and
illnesses any more. As a result, people will be more healthy and their life span will be increased. In
addition, I expect more and more artifictial parts of human body will be found and improved to
replace ones of some patients.
Finally, the last thing I hope the 21st century will bring to our society is the changes in culture.
There will be more new tendencies, new spirits applied in arts, architectures,music and fashion. For

instance in music, more and more kinds of music as well as instruments will be invented to adapt to
hobbies or ages of people. Adding to these, lifestyles of people in countries will change. That the
advances in almost fields in the 21st century make our life more mordern and easier raise some desires.
One of these is that some people want to study abroad or go for a tour to learn more about cultures of
others coutries. Those on the one hand receive a new cuture but on the other hand bring their country's
culture to the coutry they are in.
In conclusion, I believe the 21st century will bring a lot of changes in almost fields. Hope these will

believe that it would be better for spending money on both health and schools.
On the other hand, health is very important. Without health a country has many problems. Students
cannot study, and workers can’t work. This make the economy become very bad. So the government
must spend money on health budget to save ill people. Besides, the government needs to build more
hospitals as it is a big problem with not enough hospitals which mean can’t treat all sick people. With
this reason, we find that health is too necessary and need much money.

On the other hand, the government should provide good education system because doctor and
nurse ’s job plays an important role for health, so universities need special courses for doctors and
nurses who can help many people not be sick. Moreover, if the society has more social knowledge,
the crime rate will be reduced. This is due to the fact that education creates a positive mentality
among the people. For instance, as per the BBC report telecasted on January 2015, Nigeria has a
crime rate which is 20 times more than the USA. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the
governments to ensure that the citizens are educated by providing adequate infrastructure.

In conclusion, for the reasons I have mentioned, I think that money should be spent on building
hospitals as well as education.
