I. Aims and objectives :

* Language content : -To introduce some new words relating to daily activities.
- To enable them to use the present progressive tense.

*Language function :

-To encourage the students to ask and answer what is happening at the moment of
speaking.

*Educational aim :

- To make the sts aware of the importance of the timetable.
1.

Language :

a. Vocabulary: -video game(n); wait for (v); drive(v); ride(v).
b. Structures: - What are you doing?

- Present progressive Tense:
S + Be + V- ing.

2. Skills : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing
3. Educational factor : - Identifying means of transport.
II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation :

1. Method : Communicative Approach

2. Techniques: - Explanation, Repetition, game, using picture, pair work. 
 3. Materials needed: -Picture, cassette player, flashcards

4. Students' preparation: - Prepare the lesson well before coming to class.
III. PROCEDURES IN CLASS :

1/ Stabilization ( 2ms):

a. Warm up: - Greets the students.

b. Checking absence: - Asks the monitor about the absence
2/ Checking up the previous knowledge : (5 ms )

* Questions: 1) What time do you get up?
2) How do you go to school?
* Keys to questions: 1) I get up at 6.00.

2) I go to school by bike

I/Lead - in :

*A1: -Plays the tape three times.

IV/ Free- practice:

-Lets the sts play “WORD 
QUARE” game and make

*Present progressive Tense:
Ex: What are they doing?
- They are waiting for a train.
*Form:

* Usage:

-Present progressive tense 
expresses the action which is 
happening when we speak.

1.Exercise 2:Asks and answer 
questions:

* Example:

a) What is he doing?

-He is driving a car.

b) What is she doing?
- She is riding her bike.
c) What are they doing?
- They are waiting for their
bus.

d) What are you doing?
-I’m doing my homework.

2. Exercise 2:Asnswer. Then 
write the answers in your 
exercise book:

a) I’m doing my homework.
b) She’s riding her bike.
