<b>1. Warm – Up: (5’)</b>
- Have students play game: “ Rub out and remember”
about irregular verbs: made, slept, read, won, forgot,
came, took, wrote ……
<b>2. Exercises: (35’)</b>
<b>a/ Exercise 1: Past progressive tense</b>
- Give example:
I was watching TV at 8 pm yesterday.
- Have students match pictures and phrases correctly.
2. eat dinner
3. take a shower
4. talk to Grandma
5. read a book
6. write a letter
Picture a + 3 , Picture b + 2 , Picture c + 5
Picture d + 6 , Picture e + 1 , Picture f + 4
- Have students look at the picture a and answer the
question.
“What was Ba doing at 8 o’clock last night?”
“Ba was taking a shower at 8 o’clock last night.”
- Show the cardboards and go through the verbs.
1. Ba / take a shower.
2. Hoa / eat dinner.
3. Bao / read a book.
4. Nga / write a letter.
5. Na / walk with her dog.
6. Lan / talk to her Grandma.
Or Lan and her Grandma / talk to each other.
- Ask the students work through the rest of the cues.
- Call some students to read the complete sentences.

- Explain new words:

- Ask students to look carefully at the pictures on the
page 119 and do the matching on the page 120.
