<b>A. LÝ THUYẾT</b>


<b>I. The simple present tense</b>
* Cấu tạo: S + V(s/ es)


* Cách dùng: Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả một thói quen hay việc thường làm ở giai đoạn
hiện tại.


Ví dụ: Nurses look after patients in hospitals.


* Lưu ý: -Đối với các chủ ngữ là ngơi thứ nhất số ít hoặc số nhiều, ngơi thứ 2 số ít
hoặc số nhiều và ngơi thứ 3 số nhiều thì động từ theo sau nó ở dạng ngun mẫu
khơng có “to”.


-Đối với các chủ ngữ là ngơi thứ 3 số ít thì động từ theo sau nó được thêm “s” hoặc
“es”, nếu những động từ đó tận cùng bằng các chữ cái “ch, s, sh, ss, tch, x, z, zz” thì
chúng ta thêm “es”, những động từ cịn lại thì chúng ta thêm “s”.


Ví dụ: watch-> watches
Kiss-> kiss


Stop-> stops


- Đối với các động từ tận cung bằng “y” thì ta phải chuyển “y” thành “i” trước khi
them “es”.



Ví dụ: study -> studies
Fly -> flies


- Trường hợp động từ “play” và “stay” và một số động từ có dạng tương tự chúng ta
chỉ thêm “s”.


Ví dụ: play -> plays
Stay -> stays


- các trạng từ thường đi kèm trong thì hiện tại đơn là: always, sometimes, often,
usually, never, every day, every week, every year………..


<b>II. Indefinite quantifier: “much, many, a lot of, lots of”</b>
<b>* much và many</b>


Chúng ta dung “much” với danh từ không đếm được và “many” với danh từ đếm được
Ví dụ: much time much luck much energy


Many friends many students many rooms


“much” và “many” chủ yếu được dùng trong câu phủ định và câu hỏi
Ví dụ:


We don’t have much time
Have you got many friends?
<b>* A lot of và lots of</b>


Chúng ta dung “a lot of” và “lots of” với danh từ khơng đếm được và danh từ số nhiều.
Ví dụ: a lot of/ lots of time

<b>A. LÝ THUYẾT</b>

* cấu tạo: S + AM/ IS/ ARE + V-ing


* Cách dung: Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại lúc nói trong
hiện tại.


Ví dụ: She is listening to music at the moment


* Lưu ý: - Hiện tại phân từ được thành lập bằng cách them “ing” vào sau dạng nguyên
thể của động từ.


- Có một số động từ tận cùng bằng “e” câm , ta phải bỏ “e” này đi trước khi them


“ing” vào sau động.


Ví dụ: to write-> writing to drive-> driving


- Đối với một số động từ ta phải gấp đôi phụ âm cuối trước khi thêm “ing” vào động
từ.


Ví dụ: run -> running begin -> beginning


- Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn thường được dùng kèm với các trạng từ “now, right now, at the
moment, at present” để nhấn mạnh tính chất đang tiến hành của hành dộng ngay lúc
nói.


- Các thể của hiện tại tiếp diễn
Khẳng định: S + am/ is/ are + V-ing
Phủ dịnh: S + am/ is/ are + not + V-ing
Nghi vấn: Am/ is/ are + S + V –ing?
Ví dụ: He’s answering the telephone.
<b>II. The simple future tense.</b>


*Structure: S +WILL/SHALL +V(INFI)
Question words with the simple future tense.


When

Who/ what
How/ how old
How long



+ will/ shall + subject + bare infi?


Eg: When will she be back?
Where will we meet?


What time will the film start?
What will we do tonight?


How old will you be on your next birthday?
How do you go to work tomorrow?


How long will the perform last?


*Usage : - Thì tương lai đơn diễn tả một hành động sẽ xảy ra tại một thời điểm nào đó
trong tương lai.


Eg: We shall have our examination next month.
The concert will be end at 10.30.

Chúng ta cũng có thể dung will cho tất cả các ngơi.

<b>1. Comparatives</b>


- Hình thức so sánh hơn của các tính từ có một âm tiết
<b>BE + ADJ +ER +THAN</b>


Eg: I’m stronger than you


This house is bigger than that house.


- Hình thức so sánh hơn của các tính từ có 2 âm tiết trở lên
<b>MORE + ADJ + THAN</b>


Eg: My sister is more beautiful than me
Mary is more careless than Susan


<b>2. Superlatives.</b>


- Hình thức so sánh nhất của các tính từ có một âm tiết
<b>BE + THE + ADJ + EST</b>


Eg: This tower is the tallest


Minh is the tallest student in my class


- Hình thức so sánh của các tính từ có 2 âm tiết trở lên
<b>BE + THE MOST + ADJ</b>



Eg: Ba is the most intelligent student in our school.
<i>* Note: </i>


- Với một số tính từ ta phải gấp đôi mẫu tự cuối trước khi thêm “er” hoặc “est”.
Eg: big -> bigger- the biggest

-Các tính từ có 2 âm tiết thường có hình thức so sánh hơn là “more + adj + than”,
nhưng khi tính từ từ có 2 âm tiết tận cùng bằng “y” như “happy”, “funny” thì hình
thức so sánh hơn là “ adj + er +than” và hình thức so sánh nhất là “ the + adj + est”.
Eg: easy -> easier -> the easiest


Happy -> happier -> the happiest
Funny -> funnier -> the funniest


- Các tính từ có 2 âm tiết khác thường có dạng so sánh hơn là “er” và so sánh nhất là
“est” là những tính từ tận cùng bằng “le, ow, er”


Eg: noble -> nobler ->the noblest


Yellow -> yellower -> the yellowest
Clever -> cleverer -> the cleverest


- Hình thức so sánh hơn và so sánh nhất của các tính từ bất quy tắc
Eg: good -> better -> the best


Bad -> worse -> the worst


Far -> farther / further -> the farthest/ furthest

This is + danh từ số ít để chỉ người hay vật ở gần
Ex: This is new our classmate. Her name’s Mai.
That is + danh từ số ít để chỉ người hay vật ở xa.
Ex: That is our form teacher.


<b>2. Tính từ chỉ định “this/ these”, “ That/ those”.</b>


*This + danh từ số ít và these + danh từ số nhiều dùng chỉ một vật, một người hay
những vật, những người ở gần người nói hoặc người viết.

<b>A. THEORY</b>


<b>I. Response with too, either, so and neither</b>
<b>1. Cách dùng của “so” và “too”.</b>


Chúng ta dùng so, too khi đồng ý với một ý kiến khẳng định . So và too có nghĩa là
cũng thế, cũng vậy.


a. Đối với động từ TOBE:
<b>So</b> + be + subject
Subject + be, <b>too</b>


Ví dụ: He is tired. So am I/ I am, too.


b. Đối với động từ thường ta dùng trợ động từ. Lưu ý các động từ tình thái cũng là
trợ động từ.


<b>So</b> + auxiliary verbs + subject
Subject + auxiliary verbs, <b>too</b>


Ví dụ: They love their mother very much. So do we/ We do, too.


<b>2. Neither/ either.</b>


Chúng ta dùng neither và either khi đồng ý với một ý kiến phủ định.


<b>Neither=not……. either</b> có nghĩa là cũng khơng, cũng vậy.

Ví dụ: The pineapples aren’t ripe. Neither are bananas.



b. Đối với động từ thường ta dùng trợ động từ. Lưu ý các động từ tình thái cũng là
trợ động từ.


<b>Nieither</b> + auxiliary verbs + subject
Subject + auxiliary verbs + not, <b>either.</b>


Ví dụ: I don’t like durians. Neither does Hoa/ Hoa doesn’t either.
I can’t remember his name. Neither can I/ I can’t either.


<b>II. Imperative sentences (câu mệnh lệnh)</b>


Câu mệnh lệnh là loại câu yêu cầu hay sai khiến ai làm điều gì đó. Mệnh lệnh thường
nhắm đến người nói chuyện trực tiếp với người nói tức là ngơi thứ 2 số ít hoặc số
nhiều. Tuy nhiên trong câu mệnh lệnh chủ ngữ you được hiểu ngầm, do đó ta chỉ
dùng động từ ở đầu câu.


a. Câu mệnh lệnh khẳng định.


Câu mệnh lệnh khẳng định được thành lập băng cách lấy động từ nguyên mẫu bỏ
TO. Người ta có thể thêm please cho lịch sự:


Ví dụ: close the door, please.
Sit down, please.


b. Câu mệnh lệnh phủ định


Câu mệnh lệnh phủ định được thành lập bằng cách thêm <b>don’t</b> trước động từ nguyên


mẫu.



Ví dụ: Don’t talk in class.
Don’t be late.
