Warm-up (5’) Check the last lesson. - Ask some Ss to write down sentences to describe their father’s job by answering 2 questions: 1. What does your father do? 2. Where does he do? - Check & give marks. 2. Presentation: (15’) Task 1: Pre-teach vocabulary : + apartment (n) : + empty (adj) : + expensive (adj) : +furnished ( adj ): + suitable (adj): - Introduce the words by explaining the meaning, using the situation. - Read the words, then help Ss to repeat ( 2 times ). Task 2: U Grammar: Comparative & Superlative - Give some examples to revise comparative & superlative with short adj: Eg1: B is bigger than C. Eg2 : B is the biggest. - Introduce comparative & superlative with long adj. Eg3 : B is more expensive than C. Eg4 : B is the most expensive. Long adj: Comparative: …. + more + adj +than …. Superlative: ….. the + most + adj +….. Task 3: Gap fill : - Introduce : John Robinson is an English teacher from the USA. He’s looking for an apartment in Ha Noi for his family. He’s asking his friend, Nhat, for advice.. - Write down answers. - Check with the teacher.. - Listen - Repeat (in chorus & in individual) - Copy the words.. - Repeat (in chorus & in individual). - Review comparative & superlative with short adj and introduce these ones with long adj.. - Work in pairs..
