By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer the questions about arrangements for a picnic. B. Language focus: - Vocabulary: picnic, camera, raincoat, umbrella, sausage, hamburger,buy, take. - Sentence patterns: What’s she/he going to do? She’s/He’s going to buy some fruit. - Skills: Listening and speaking C: Resources: - Ss’ book, workbook, puppets... D: Procedures: Teacher’s activities I. Warm-up. Ask Ps to role play the dialogue . To Say about the place they like to go for a picnic. II. Look, listen and repeat. Pre-listening: Vocabulary: picnic, camera, raincoat, umbrella, sausage, hamburger,buy, take. Check vacab: rub out and remember * Picture description Have Ss look at the picture and elicit the name’s of the characters ( Nam and Mai) . They are talking about their arrangements for the picnic. While-listening: - Have Ss listen to the tape first - Let Ss listen and repeat twice. - Practice the dialogue - Have Ss work in pairs Post-listening: - Have the whole class repeat each line of the dialogue to reinforce their pronunciation - Present the Sentence patterns.. Role play the dialogue. II. Talking Pre-talking: * Picture description: - Ask Ss look at the picture and identify the vocabulary items in the pictures. Ss are going to practice asking and answering questions about what they plan to do for a picnic. - While-talking: - Ask one pair of Ps to do the task as an example. - T gives an example : T: What’s he going to do? S: He’s going to take a camera. - Ask Ss to act out and practice - Have Ss work in pairs - Go around and help Ss to practice. Pre – writing: - Have Ss open the student’s book on page 65 . - Tell them that they are going to write sentences in an email message, using the pictures as the cues. While - writing -Ask Ss to complete the sentences in an email message individually. - Go around and help Ss to do - Have Ss trade their answers in pairs Post – writing: - Call on some Ss rewrite the sentences on the board. - Calls 3 pairs act out and read the email message. . - Listen and give comment - Have whole class read the answer in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation. * Suggested answers: 1.
