About This Chapter

Before you install the OptiX OSN 3500, we recommend reading OptiX OSN 3500
Intelligent Optical Transmission System Compliance and Safety Manual. This helps
you to ensure a safe and smooth installation.
This chapter describes the work you are required to do before you start the
installation. Turn to the specific section for applicable tasks.
