Aims and objectives: - Language content: To teach children some new words about countries, nationalities, languages. - Language function: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able know about other countries, how to use their names, nationalities, and languages vocabulary to talk about where people are from. - Educational aim: To educate the student to know some countries in the world. II. Language contents: + Vocabulary: about countries, nationalities, laguages + Structure: - Where are you from? - I’m from Viet Nam - Which language do you speak ? - I speak Vietnamese - What is your natonality? - I am Vietnamese. III. Techniques: - Individual work, pair work, group work. IV. Teaching aids: - Textbooks, lesson plan, blackboard, pictures, cassette, … V. Time: 45 minutes VI. Procedures Teacher and students’ activities 7 mins. T: hangs the pictures on the board.. Contents Warm up: Picture hanging.

Presentation * New words T: sets the situation. Then plays the tape - world ( translation ) one time. - from: ( ex & translation ) Ss: listen and find out new words. - country (n) T: gives new words. Ss: guess the meaning and take note. Then listen and repeat - practice. T gives the example. I’m ……. I’m from Viet Nam. Ss listen. And this is Laura. She’s from Canada. * Grammar T presents the new structure. Where is ……… from? Ss listen and take notes. He’s / She’s from ……. ex: Where is he from? He’s from Japan. * Practice: 1. Listen and repeat. T plays the tape and let the Ss listen and repeat. Ss listen and repeat. Now ask and answer: T asks Ss to work in pairs to ask and Where is ……….. from? He/ She is from …. answer about the people in the pictures. Ss work in pairs. 2. Listen and read T: plays the tape. E.g: - My name is Minh. I am from Viet Ss: listen and read in silent.
