ROOF AND SIDE PROTECTION ARE INSTALLED




Photo 1: Roof and side protection installed for protection from direct sunlight, rain,
and wind getting into the concrete floor during casting. This will prevent rapid
evaporation of water from the concrete surface
Photo 2: If walls are not in place, erect scaffolding cover (blue sheet) locked down
and at least 2 meters high to prevent rain water and wind blowing in during finishing
process

SET UP OF S485

1.) Obtain finish floor level by setting laser guided transmitter
2.) Transmitter will transfer the designed elevation
3.) Laser Receiver are set to the s485 for rough (quick pass) and screeding (smooth)

Set matching numbers on machine receive poles

Sequencing of placing concrete is important to have good coordination during
casting

This concrete is discharged in 4 meter strips wide

Discharge concrete in strips around 4m width

VIBRATION
Vibrator must be inserted immediately after placing

Vibrator must be inserted vertically to reduce the air entrance

ROUGH LEVELING BY ‘QUICK PASS’ FUNCTION
The s485 can pull the concrete to a rough level through a function called
“Quick Pass”

After first pass of fine level, s485 will move parallel to the first pass
area
Need to overlap properly to have accurate elevation with smooth
joint

HAND SCREED TOOLS FOR EDGING

HAND TOOLS-MESH ROLLER
Mesh Roller is to embed steel fibers and to bring up some cement paste up to surface to cover.
Mesh Roller can also be used to push down coarse aggregates at the surface of concrete

HAND TOOLS-CHANNEL FLOAT
After Mesh Roller has pass through, apply channel float to fill surface and improve flatness.
Overlap each pass by 50%

For higher tolerance floor apply check rod when concrete is still plastic
