PRONUNCIATION: * Presentation 1: / e / and / æ / * Practice 1:  Listen and repeat: (page 38) Practise these sentences: (page 39). C. GRAMMAR AND VOCABULARY: * Presentation 2: I. The past perfect - Form: (+ ) S + had + V3/ed ............ ( - ) S + had + not + V3/ed ......... ( ? ) Had + S + V3/ed ..........? - Use: The past perfect tense can be used to describe: _ an action before a point of time in the past (E.g. I had done all my homework before 7p.m last night.) _ an action that happened before another. T’s activities. Ss’ activities - Write 6 words on the board. - Play game. Call on 2 ss to go to the board. - Read each time one word for ss to clap the word on the board. - Who chooses more correct words will be the winner. - Help Ss to distinguish these - Pay two sounds. attention - Play the tape and ask Ss to repeat. - Divide class into 2 groups to practise in turn between 2 vowels. - Ask Ss to practise in pairs. - Read these sentences. - Call some Ss to read and give feedback. - Write an example on the board. HOMEWORK: - Practise all structures again and completely. - Do exercise 3, textbook. - Prepare Unit 4 lesson 1 READING.. examples. - Listen, take notes. - Tell ss about the chronological order between the past perfect and the past simple through an example. - Ask ss to make sample sentences. - Ask Ss to work individually and do exercise 1 in the book. - Have Ss compare their answers with a friend. - Give feedback.. - Work individually, then in pairs.. - Pairwork. - Ask ss to do Ex 2 in pairs in 5 minutes. - Move round to conduct the activity. - Ask some ss to explain their answers, give correction.. - Give homework.. - Listen and take notes..
