Knowledge - Help ss understand the content of the reading. - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read for the instructions about some more situations requiring first – aid . + Vocabulary: lye (v); flat (a); force (v) ; lock (v); elevate (v); victim (n); revive (v); overheat (v) ; minimize (v); ease(v); sterile(a). + Structures: Commands to give instructions 2. Skills: - Practice the comprehension reading skill, writing and speaking skill. 3. Attitude: Educate ss to learn hard, stay safe and know the ways to give first aid instructions in the home B. Preparations 1.Teacher : posters, computer, speaker, projector. 2. Students: Unit 9 Read C. Methods: - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work - Some techniques can be used: matching, R&R, discussing. D. Warm up: Bingo (4’) - Ask Ss to give nouns for emergencies which require first – aid and write them on the board ( burn , cut , bee sting , snake bite , fainting , shock , nose bleed ) - Have Ss choose 4 and 4 words on the board and write them down on a piece of paper . - Call out the words until someone has ticked all the four words and shouts “ Bingo”.
