Places not to be missed when traveling to or from Phan Thiet:
Phan Thiet City Center area.
The first place is the school Duc Thanh.
Duc Thanh School is located at 39 Trung Nhi, Duc Nghia ward, Phan Thiet city. This is the place
where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked as a teacher, namely Nguyen Tat Thanh, in 1910.
Currently, visitors to Duc Thanh school will see the school was restored from the original of the
old school (03 rows of tables and chairs, a blackboard ...), Ngu House, Uncle Ho's star fruit tree.
The well and the surrounding landscape are arranged very harmoniously, which will make
visitors feel that Uncle Ho's image is still here. Admission is completely free.

The second place is the Po Shanu Cham Towers.

The Po Shanu Cham Towers are located atop Ong Hoang hill. This relic is considered one of the
important cultural landmarks of the ancient Champa Kingdom. The relic is located on Ba Nai
Hill of Phu Hai Ward, about 7km from the center of Phan Thiet City to the northeast. The
attraction of Poshanua Cham Tower, as well as that of other Cham towers, is the sophistication of


the architecture and art of the ancient Cham people. Many magical and outstanding works seen
today hide a series of mysteries.
The towers were designed in the Hoa Lai architectural style, an ancient art style of Champa. In
spite of having small and medium sizes, the architecture is "distilled" with the essence of the
architectural technique and decorative art of the ancient Cham people, who gave birth to majestic
and mysterious works. This relic is one of the oldest and relatively intact Cham towers.
This relic is also a famous attraction in Phan Thiet. For tourists, visiting Poshanu Cham Tower is
one of the must-not-miss things to do in Phan Thiet. Thanks to its hilltop location, you can enjoy
expansive views of Phan Thiet and the distant coastline. Po Shanu Cham Towers are accessible
within a 15-minute drive from Mui Ne Town and a fee of VND 10,000 is required before
entering. If you’re travelling by motorcycle, there’s parking available for an additional VND

2,000.

The area around Mui Ne
The first place you see when leaving the city center for Mui Ne is Ong Dia Rock beach.
Ong Dia rock beach is located about 10 kilometers from the center of Phan Thiet city. As a
beautiful site, this place attracts a lot of people everyday. Locals and tourists consider Ong Dia
rock beach as an ideal place for sightseeing, taking photos, swimming, kite surfing, sitting with
friends and their loved ones, or just doing nothing and enjoying their free time . This beach is

named after “Ong Dia”, who is the “Earth God” according to the belief of Vietnamese. Today,
this beach still retains its pristine beauty, without the arrangement of human hands. This is also a
unique attraction of this sea for tourists. The rocks float on the sea surface with countless strange
and unique shapes. Not only a beautiful rocky beach, but also a very clean public beach for
visitors to take pictures. Watching the sunset on Ong Dia Stone Beach is always an extremely
interesting and wonderful. When visitors come here, it only takes 5,000 vnd to keep the car
without any entrance fee.

About 2.3km from Ong Dia Rock Beach, you will reach the next place, which is Sealink Wine
Castle.
Located in the complex resort of Sea Links City, Phan Thiet wine castle is the first and only
castle in Vietnam that holds up to 200,000 bottles of wine. These wines are produced, bottled and
imported directly from the winery of Rang Dong Group. This is also the owner of the RD Wine
Castle in Napa Valley, California, USA. Sea Links City is about 6-7km from the center of Phan
Thiet city.
Opening hours: 07:00-19:00. The morning or afternoon at RD Wine Castle is a very crowded
time. Therefore, if you do not want to wait in line for too long, you should arrange the time to
come here at noon. And until about 15h00 or 16h00 on the same day, you can move to the sand
dunes to have fun.

Wine tasting RD: 200,000 VND/PERSON/TIME:Try 5 different wines.
After purchasing the entrance ticket, the tour guide will take you to each area to admire the
beauty of this castle. When entering the wine cellar, visitors to Mui Ne Tour will be given a free
glass of white wine by the staff. Following that, you will be instructed on how to properly hold

the glass and enjoy this wine. You will see documents, clips about the history, the fermentation
process, as well as closed wine production designed deep underground in the Napa valley.
For visitors who are passionate about wines, they do not hesitate to spend extra money to enjoy 4
more fine wines here. It takes about 30 minutes for a visitor to go down to the cellar.

The third place that cannot be missed when coming to Mui Ne is the Red Sand Dunes


Red sand hills are located in Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province.
The Red Sand Dunes are one of Phan Thiet’s most unique natural formations, where you can take
gorgeous snapshots and enjoy an array of activities. Located three kilometres north of Mui Ne, it
features reddish-brown sand with gentle slopes. If you get to the highest peak, you’ll be greeted
with a great sunset view of the ocean. Sand-sledding is a common and fun activity here, with
plastic sleds available for about VND 10,000 to VND 20,000. The best time to visit is either
early in the morning or late afternoon, as the sand can get very hot during the day.

Finally, a very hot place in the past few years is Bau Trang.
You will be amazed at the scenery, which is like a magnificent painting. Bau Trang is surrounded
by white sand slopes with sunshine and wind that are bestowed by nature, making the lake
wonderfully beautiful. In the midst of the blazing sun, the sand dunes appear with a magical
vagueness. The high and wide sandbanks stretch as far as the eye can see. The sand here used to
be yellow, then gradually turned to pure white.
Arriving at Bau Trang sand hill, you can wander around the sand slopes to admire, take photos,
organize camping in the vast space of nature. According to the experience of photographers,
during the day, there are 2 best times to see and get inspired to create art on Bau Trang land, from
5am to 9am and from 4pm to 6pm daily.

One of the most attractive services here is renting off-road motorbikes to conquer the sand dunes.
There is a row of motorbikes of different colors available here. You just need to meet the owner
of the rental car to be able to accelerate, speed up on the sandy slopes, feel the heat of the sand,
and sun hitting your face. The average hourly rental price is 400,000 VND-600,000
VND/vehicle/2 people/20 minutes, depending on whether the car is large or small. Besides, you
can also play sandboarding games with a skateboard rental price of 20,000 VND/board.

In addition to the above tourist destinations, I also want to introduce to you some places to eat
and drink that should not be missed when coming to Phan Thiet.
The first street food I would recommend to you is squid teeth. The most famous squid tooth shop
in Phan Thiet is "Loan squid tooth".
The shop is located at 202 Vo Thi Sau, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. Squid teeth are
processed diversely with different prices such as: fried squid teeth 15,000 VND / 1 piece, squid
eggs 10 VND / 1 part, meat skewers 6,000 VND / 1 skewer, fried squid teeth 15,000 VND / 1
piece, squid teeth grilled VND 15,000 / 1 portion, etc.
The shop also has a very delicious side dish of pickles. Crispy squid teeth eaten with rice paper.

The second dish I want to introduce to you is Banh Can.
Referring to Banh Can, locals all know about Banh Can Ba Xu because the restaurant is so
famous. The restaurant sells all kinds of Banh Can with eggs, shumai, sour mango, pork skin,
scad, young tamarind. Banh Can is different from Da Lat. The dough is flexible, not crispy like

in Da Lat. No scrambled quail eggs.
Banh Can here is eaten by many local people, delicious and cheap, crispy, above all, with the
right dipping sauce, delicious and delicious.
Ba Xu restaurant is located at 146 Ngu Ong, Lac Dao ward, Phan Thiet city. Open from 6pm to
10pm. Each plate of Banh Can is only 20,000 VND.

One more suggestion of delicious food in Phan Thiet for eating souls. That is the specialty of the
Phan Thiet grilled rice paper. The taste of Phan Thiet grilled rice paper is loved by many
people. Although there are quite a few places that have modified this specialty. But in Phan
Thiet, the way to cook rice paper is completely different.
Phan Thiet grilled rice paper is usually selected from the type that is not coated with black
sesame. When baking, add a little fish sauce, known as in the sea. Finally, add other toppings
such as onions, sausages, spring rolls, spring rolls, cheese on top and grill with fragrant charcoal.
In my opinion, the best restaurant in Phan Thiet is Ms. Lien's restaurant. Located in Nguyen Sac
Kim, Phu Thuy ward, Phan Thiet. Open from 4pm to 9pm. The price of each part is 10,000vnd to
20,000vnd.

If those street foods you eat are not full, come to the following dishes that will not disappoint
you.
Lau Tha Phan Thiet
Lau Tha is a rustic dish that can be eaten all year round in Binh Thuan, so depending on
conditions, some families can choose apricot fish, opaque fish, transparent fish, etc. to be the
main ingredients for the dish. However, the "right style" must be apricot fish, a specialty fish of
the coastal strip from Ninh Thuan to Khanh Hoa, usually harvested by fishermen from about
April to November of the lunar calendar every year.

Different from the usual way of eating hot pot, everyone has to dip all the food in a pot of clean
water and wait to eat. Both ways of using hot pot are far different than imagined. Established
first, I am very eager. Through these different ways, I know the difference that comes from two
indispensable ingredients, broth and sauce.
The more conventional way of enjoying it requires a pot of hot broth. But instead of dipping,
users put vegetables, vermicelli, meat, eggs, rice paper, a few slices of apricot fish in a bowl and
then pour the broth in. The broth has shrimp, tomato, onion, etc., mix well so that the other
ingredients cook evenly, keeping the freshness without losing the characteristic sweet and fatty
taste of apricot fish.
