ORIGINATE
• Bolero vietnam is a Latin American melody
has been imported into our country since
the early 1950s and popular in the
southern up to now.
• At the time, the movement “ New Music
Vietnam” was developing strongly. Many
musicians started using Western music
instead of traditional music. So bolero was
born

CHARACTERISTICS
• Popular populations meet the masses of people,
especially the popular.
• Highly general, topics are very rich not inferior to
other types of music.
• The content of the lyrics is clear, easy to
understand (Subject - Verbs - Túc từ).
• Tune to be easy to sing, easy to beat.
• High self (Ballade).
• The characteristic sadness, different from the
fun of the same time as Cha Cha Cha, Twist,
Fox ...


INFLUENTIAL
• From the 1960s to the 1970s were the
peak years of this melody. At that time, the
movement “Fashion music”, where the
bolero was massively recorded on
cassettes or vinyl records.
• Today, bolero is popular with everyone, of
all ages


BOLERO SONGS
• The first bolero songs were Nang chieu (Le
Trong Nguyen), Trang phuong Nam (Anh Hoa),
Chieu trong rung tham (Anh Viet) composed
before 1954.

• There are songs that are still popular and
popular in the present such as Duyen phan, Hoa
su nha nang, Vong nhan cuoi, Xuan nay con
khong ve, Ve dau mai toc nguoi thuong, Dap vo
cay dan and Nua dem ngoai pho.
