How to use?
1) Regular actions or habits (often with adverbs
of frequency)
Ex: - Marry gets up at half past six in the morning.
- We usually learn English class on Sunday.
2) Permanent situations
Ex: - My grandparents live in Ho Chi Minh city.
3) General truths or law of nature
Ex: - The earth goes around the sun.

Rules
1. Verbs ending in –s, -sh, -ch, -x, -o ->
Take –es in the third person singular.
2. Verbs ending in a consonant + -y ->
Change the –y to i and take -es
3. Verbs ending in a vowel + -y -> Simply
take -s
Example
Wash ->Washes
Fly -> Flies
Play -> Plays
