I/ Reason for holding the Festival
Thang: Good mornign ladies and Gentlemen . Warmly welcome all the delegates, all the
teachers and all the students to the English Festival of group V today!

Thang As you know, English is an international language. It is an effective means of
communication and is spoken widely in almost countries in the world nowadays. It plays a
very important role in our modern life. It helps people to understand each other better and
creates the chance to exchange the culture, economy and politics.
- Hoa: Nh chóng ta ®· biÕt, TiÕng Anh là ngôn ngữ quốc tế, là phơng tiện giao tiếp hữu hiệu.
Là thứ tiếng đợc nói ở khắp các quốc gia trên toàn thế giới, Tiếng Anh đang đóng vai trò hết

Thang To implement the direction of Hai Phong Ministry of education and training, the
department of education and training of Thuy Nguyen district with the theme of the school

Thang: Thanks to the permission and the help from the board of directors of the 6 lower
secondary schools in group 5, the English Festival is organized every 2 years with the aim of
making a motivating environment for students to learn English, helping students to master
this subject and have more chance to practice speaking English fluently, so that they will feel
more confident to communicate with others.

- Hoa: Đợc sự cho phép và giúp đỡ của Ban giám hiệu 6 trờng TH trong cụm , Festival Tiếng
Anh đợc tổ chức hai năm một lần với mục đích giúp học sinh có thêm nhiều cơ hội để trau dồi
các kĩ năng, đợc học hỏi, giao lu và thêm tự tin trong giao tiếp bằng ngoại ngữ.
II/ Introduce the Delegates
Thang: Coming to our English Festival today. Firstly, I would like to introduce
Mr. Nguyễn Như Đạt (Phùng Mạnh Hùng) - an expert of Thuy Nguyen Education and
training department

Thang: Secondly I would like to introduce Mrs. Le Thi Tan – an expert Thuy Nguyen
Education and training Department
Bà Lê Thị Tân Chuyên viên phòng GD-ĐT huyện Thủy Nguyên.
Thang: Coming to our English Festival today, I would like to introduce the presence of Mrs.
Nguyen Thi Thang –the head- mistress of Hiep Hoa school- the leader of Group V, And the
presence of the vice-directors, all the teachers of English and especially the presence of many
Ss from 6 schools –> clap your hands to welcome them.

III/ Introduce the Examiners
Thang: And In any contests, the examiners always play an important part in the success of
the contest. I would like to introduce the examiners of the contest:

IV/ Open the Festival

* Activity 2: quiz contest
Thang: Once more I would like to say Thank you very much for all the beautiful and

exciting performances of the 6 schools.
Hiên: Một lần nữa xin chân thành cảm ơn các phần giới thiệu rất xuất sắc của tất cả các
trường
Thang: Let’s come to another contest, a very interesting activity – “ quiz contest”.
Hiên: Và bây giờ chúng ta hãy đến với phần thi rất hấp dẫn, đó là phần thi đố vui
Thang: In this contest each team in turns gives out your three quizes
=> Other teams listen and get the right to answer by pressing the bell, if your answer is
correct, you get 2 points. If not, you lose 1 point. (your allowanced time is 10 seconds)
Hiên: Trong phần thi này, mỗi đội theo thứ tự bắt thăm, chúng ta lần lượt đưa ra 3 câu hỏi,
- Nếu đủ số lượng câu hỏi, phát âm chuẩn => đội đó được 10 đ
- Nội dung câu hỏi dí dỏm, sáng tạo, có sự tham gia của người nước ngoài => 10 đ
=> Các đội khác chúng ta lắng nghe và giành quyền trả lời bằng cách bấm chuông, nếu trả
lời đúng mỗi câu hỏi sẽ được 2 đ (nếu không trả lời đúng sẽ bị trừ 1 đ, đội khác tiếp tục bấm
chng giành quyền trả lời) (mỗi câu hỏi em có 10 giây suy nghĩ)

=> Through the two parts, all of the teams have expressed their abilities excellently.
I hope that the results will be changed after the third activity: Talent contest
In this part, you have to perform your talent in 5 or 7 minutes. It should be fulfilled 5
criterions:

=> And now , in order to help tourists know more about our City, and get to the year of
tourism of HP City, now let’s come to the talent contest of Hiep Hoa school, They wants to
advertise one of famous festivals of our countries – “Buffalo - fighting” – in DoSon
2. Hoàng Anh
=> Thank you for exciting information about “buffalo- fighting – in Do Son. I hope that there
are more and more trvelers coming to our city every year.
- Ladies and gentlemen, As you know. English as well as other foreign languages always
plays an important role in our life, but how we use it in daily life together with our mother
tongue. Let’s come a very interesting play: “Mother tongue and foreign language – Nội ngữ
và ngoại ngữ” performed by some of students from Hoàng Anh school.
3. Gia Minh

=> Dear Students, Since we were born we have heard a lot of folktales, read by our
greatgrandparents, our grand parents or our dad and mom: such as: Tam Cam, Chu Dong Tu,
Thach Sanh, Cay Tre Tram Dot, etc. But one of the most exciting stories, that we like best is
“Tich Chu”, Now I would like all of you come to the next play – named “ The story of Tich
Chu” – performed by Gia Minh school
4. Kenh Giang
=> Thank you very much for an interesting story.
- As we know nowadays people little garbage every where. They are destroying our
environment, many big forest are deforested, the water is being polluted seriously. SS, What
should we do to protect our environment? => Please enjoy a short play – Let’s protect our
environment- performed by Grade 9 Ss, from Kenh giang school.
5. Gia Duc
=> Thank you very much for your nice play. And now “Good friends” is a name of a play that
the students from Gia Duc school will show you, please clap your hands to support them.


6. Minh Tan
=> Ladies and gentlemen,
an English saying says that “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”
What should we do if my friends have many troubles? They don’t have enough money to go
to school, or they have many problems about their parents that difficult to say out? If you are
a teacher, how do we solve these problems. Let’s enjoy a play of Minh Tan school – named:
“Be friendly”
