I. Relative clauses:
1. The woman is a nurse. I met her yesterday
 The woman whom I met yesterday is a nurse.
2. Tet is a festival. Tet occurs in late January or early February.
 Tet is a festival which occurs in late January or early February.

MĐQH dùng để bổ nghĩa hoặc cung cấp thêm thơng tin
cho danh từ đứng trước nó. Bổ nghĩa hoặc cung cấp thêm
thông tin cho danh từ nào thì đứng trực tiếp sau danh từ
đó, thường có đại từ quan hệ đứng đầu.


1. Join the sentences. Use relative clauses
Ex: Tet is a festival. Tet occurs in late January or early February.

II. Adverb clauses of concession
.

Ex 1: She is ill but she goes to school.
Although she is ill, she goes to school.
Ex 2: It is raining but we go on a picnic.
 Though it is raining, we go on a picnic.
EX 3: Nam studies hard but he gets bad marks.
 Even though Nam studies hard, he gets bad marks.
Although/ Though/ Even though introduces adverb
clauses of concession.
