WARM-UP
Watch the video then find out some good habits and
some bad ones shown in the video?
Good ones: eating healthy food, making “To do list”,
doing exercises….
Bad ones:

getting up late, eating fast food, spend
too much time on facebook…


1. Good habits or bad habits
Good habits
- being thankful
- keeping a routine
- doing regular exercise
- never giving up
- saving money
- reading regularly

Bad habits
- staying up late
- leaving things until
the last minute


- watching TV all day
- littering
- eating what you like
- arriving just in time


2. Discussion
• Discuss why some of the habits are good and why
some are bad for you.
• Find out some effects of the habits to support your
ideas, use the following as model.
Example:

makes me feel tired the

giving up is good
because it gives you
determination and
courage.


3. Giving advice:
3.1. Vocabulary
+ swap (v)


- exchange

+ shake up (Ph.V)

- arrange

+ to kick a habit (idiom) - to stop doing a harmful thing


3.2. Reading
Read the text (page 20) and the advice on how to get
rid of bad habit.


3.3. Practice (Page 20)
• Work in groups, choose a thing you can or can’t
follow and explain the decision to the group.
Example:
• “I think I/ we should make a list of bad habits and a
list of good habits that I/ we could swap for those
naughty habit”
• I think I should … because …


4. Dos and Don’ts
• Choose a partner then choose ONE bad habit that
you want to remove.
• Spend 5 minutes to make a list of Dos and DON’Ts in
order to kick that habit.
• Share your list with other pairs and use it to present

your ideas
• Report to class using vocabulary and structures
you’ve practised.


Consolidation:

• What have we learn today?
• What can you do now?


Homework:
• Write a list of bad habits and the solutions for each.
• Think about your eating habit, Is it good or bad?
• Look up some words or phrases related to healthy
eating
