1. Please write a 3 paragraph essay on why New York City is
expensive. ( Hãy viết một bài văn 3 đoạn về lý do tại sao thành phố
New York đắt đỏ ).
One of the main reasons New York is such an expensive city to live in is
how the population has grown by over a million people since 1980.
Housing growth hasn't kept pace with the population boom that occurred
during a 35 year period. A perfect example of this housing shortage came
back in 2015, when one apartment complex had 88,000 applicants
applying for 55 low-priced apartment units. Also, it would be nearly
impossible to have a Walmart Supercenter in downtown Manhattan,
seeing as how difficult and expensive it would be to have 18-wheelers
coming into the city constantly. Grocery stores are charged a much higher
rent than they would have to pay in the suburbs and those costs are passed
on to customers in the form of higher-priced merchandise.
Trying to increase the housing supply is difficult because in places like
Manhattan, 27% of the buildings are land-marked. In places like the
SoHo District, zoning laws prevent residential buildings from being
constructed, because SoHo is zoned as a 'Manufacturing' area. To add to
this barrier, the city of New York has a higher cost of construction than
any other city in the United States. For example, to build a high rise
office tower in New York would cost about $400 per square foot
compared to the relatively cheaper $180 per square foot needed in
Chicago.
An enormous majority of the apartments in New York City are also
subject to rent regulation. New York City also has rent stabilization
programs, which allow tenants the automatic right to renew their lease.
This means that many buildings in the city can't be vacated and torn
down. If a building can't be vacated, that means you can't use that land to

build a newer larger building. The city currently has around 25,000

millionaires and 82 billionaires living in the city. So for New Yorkers who
aren't in these two categories, everyone is competing with the millionaires
and billionaires for the limited number of housing units contained within
the city. This is a problem only in that these thousands of wealthy
individuals will always have the resources to outbid everyone else.

2.Write a paragraph about the role of women in the labor force.
(Viết đoạn văn nói về vai trò của phụ nữ trong lao động.)
The participation of women in the labor force has increased globally and
women are earning wages and salaries just as their men counterparts.
Women are currently holding even senior positions in the organizations.
They have acquired higher education just like men and have been proven
to have the ability to do the same professional jobs as men. However,
there are jobs that are still dominated by men. However, some studies
have shown that women are working harder than men and are appearing
to be the driving force behind corporate performance. Some data from
data from the Gartner Global Talent Monitor showed that female
employees in Australia put almost 7% more effort than their male
colleagues in the organizations. It is clear in the current world that women
are actively participating in the workforce, in both skilled and non-skilled
labor force. In the United States, the percentage of women in the labor
force has grown from 32.7% in 1948 to 56.8% in 2016 which is a clear
indication that women are driving the labor force.

3. Why Facebook is powerful social network?
(Tại sao Facebook là mạng xã hội được sử dụng rộng rãi?

Facebook is an online social networking and social media service
company which belongs to America. Mark Zuckerberg developed it in

2004. Anyone who is at least 13, is allowed to use Facebook. This
company mostly makes money from its advertisements which appear on
the screen while using Facebook. It helps many businesses and
companies to grow their business apart from assisting people to interact
with each other. There can be many reasons that Facebook is a very
powerful social network.
Facebook is a social networking service, which is very simple and easy to
use. Its features are straightforward to understand. This easy use helps
Facebook to cover a vast market by capturing the people of all the age
groups. At that time, the other social media services were not that easy to
use, for example, twitter. Facebook has a massive developing team which
continuously works on developing the services and increasing the
features people can use. Facebook acquired numerous numbers of other
companies, which also include WhatsApp and Instagram. It is a very
great platform where one can run and promote businesses and various
organizations. It is so popular that around more than one billion people
visit the site on a daily basis. It is so popular and can be used by different
businesses to cover a vast number of people for the promotion of their
goods and services. As it covers all age groups from young to old, it is
suitable for almost all types of businesses. It is very fast-growing, and
people join this network on a daily basis. These all can be the reason that
Facebook is a very vast and powerful social network.
4. Write a short paragraph about the Tertiary Structure of protein.

(Viết một đoạn văn ngắn về Cấu trúc bậc ba của prôtêin. )
The Tertiary Structure of protein is more focused on the interactions of
the R groups, or side chains. These R groups will affect the shape of the

structure and can differ depending on the environment. A possible

physical trait of an R group is they can be hydrophobic. This would result
in the side chains moving away from aqueous solutions and being more
concentrated on the center of a structure away from the aqueous solution.
On the other hand, you have polar, or hydrophilic side chains. These
would be more likely to form Hydrogen bonds. Ionic and Covalent
bonding are both possible given there is a difference of charge or proper
electron structure. All three methods of bonding would result in the
protein structure curling back on itself and are common in helix
structures.
5. Write a short paragraph to explain the concept of depreciation as
used in accounting.
( Viết một đoạn văn ngắn để giải thích khái niệm khấu hao được sử
dụng trong kế toán ).
Depreciation is the cost of an asset that is decreased each year because of
its use, advancement in technology, and becoming obsolete. In
accounting, depreciation is charged as an expense every year to match
and allocate the cost of the asset with the respective revenue derived from
using that asset. This is done to follow the revenue and expense
recognition accounting concept. There are various methods in accounting
for charging depreciation to an asset such as:
1) Straight-line method
2) Double-declining method
3) Units of production method
4) Sum-of-years' digit method

The depreciation is charged for the estimated useful life of an asset. The
remaining value after charging depreciation is referred to as salvage
value. The depreciation for the year is shown in the income statement as
an expense and the asset is shown at historical cost less accumulated

depreciation in the balance sheet of the company.
6. Short paragraph: What role does the skin play in the regulation of
body temperature?
(Đoạn văn ngắn: Da có vai trị gì trong sự điều hịa thân nhiệt?
Our skin is liable for guaranteeing that, when our environment gets
excessively hot, our internal heat level doesn't shoot up to unfortunate
levels. Likewise, our skin assumes a job in safeguarding body heat when
our environment gets extremely cold, with the intention that our
temperature does not fall below a specific level.
In the event that it's excessively hot, our compounds will denature and
will get latent/lose their capacity. On the off chance that it's excessively
chilly, the proteins will excessively get incapable (their capacity will hind
excessively).
At the point when it's excessively hot:
Sweat organs will create sweat. Warmth is held in the fluid and along
these lines will be lost when sweat dissipates from the outside of our skin.
Vasodilation happens to expand bloodstream to the outside of the skin so
more warmth is lost by means of radiation.
When it's excessively cold:
Vasoconstriction will happen, enabling less blood to arrive at the outside
of the skin, so less heat is lost. Shuddering will happen. Shuddering is the
enthusiastic development of muscles, expecting them to breathe more and
therefore produce more heat subsequently.

7. Write about one of the most important inventions
(viết về một trong những phát minh quan trọng nhất )
Inventions and discoveries are the pillars of scientific development. There
has been many inventions and discoveries made in biology and especially
in molecular biology. Arguably the most important discovery was the one

that founded the the base of molecular biology that was the discovery of
double helical structure of DNA.
The double helical structure of DNA was published in 1953 by James
Watson and Francis Crick. This discovery laid the foundation of
molecular biology and nearly all all for the development was based on
this discovery itself. There were many attempts made by other scientists
like Linus pauling who proposed the triple helical structure of DNA but
all other structures including pauling's was rejected later. Another
scientist Erwin Charagaff proposed that there were four nitrogenous bases
in DNA namely adenine, guanine, thymine and cytosine. he concluded
that amount of adenine is always equal to that of thymine and amount of
guanine is always equal to cytosine in a DNA molecule.
The beginning of discovery of double helical structure of DNA was made
by Rosalind Franklin and Maurice Wilkins. Rosalind Franklin was an
expert in x-ray crystallography and detected the the the structure of DNA
using that technique. The famous photo 51 obtained by rosalind Franklin
who was the key ingredient in this discovery.
James Watson and Francis Crick worked upon the results obtained by
rosalind Franklin and proposed that the DNA was a double helical
structure and the nitrogenous bases were arranged in ladder like
formation with adenine always coming opposite to thymine and guanine

always coming opposite to Cytosine. This structure immediately propose
another model for DNA replication also in which each strand of parent
DNA at h template on which daughter strands are synthesized using laws
of complementarity
8. If you were a billionaire, what would you do?
(Nếu bạn là một tỷ phú, bạn sẽ làm gì?)
If I were a billionaire, I would try to make things that can make our lives

easier. I know it is already happening in this world, but I would do
something extraordinary that no one has thought of. You know that’s what
entrepreneurs are meant for. As a Vietnamese, I really wish that our
country should also have its own giant smartphone company that sells its
products in other countries(example: Samsung, Xiaomi, and Huawei);
then tech giants just like the USA has(example: Microsoft, Google,
Apple, and Amazon); etc. So if I get a chance, I would surely try to take
my companies to the top spot in their particular sectors. So that people
buy our products in their country, which is probably very rare as we don't
have a lot of MNC’s like the other countries have.
Then, I would adopt some of the villages or towns and donate the basic
necessities that a person needs. Like providing the children education and
other needs. Do philanthropy as much as possible and help the poor(who
really need help) to overcome their problem and get themselves educated
so that they can contribute to our country in any way.
I would also buy a lot of expensive things for myself. But my main goal
would be to make people’s life a lot easier than before. I would make
products and stuff that can do a lot of things for us, without our help,
basically, it would be in the sector of artificial intelligence.
9. The qualities of a good friend.

(Những phẩm chất của một người bạn tốt )
Friendship is a bond between people with the same interests and opinions.
Such people are called friends. Friends are the gems of our lives. A good
friendship is the most beautiful blessing from the Allah. A good friend is
someone hard to find with no expectations and no demands. He/she never
lets his/her friend alone when they pass a hard time.
Choosing or making a good friend is not so easy. The only way to find
out a good friend is to become a true friend. There should be some

essential elements in an ideal friendship. This is understanding, empathy,
honesty and above all faithfulness.
The benefit of finding a good friend is a lot. A good friend shares the joys
of success and problems of adversity. He/she does not hesitate to sacrifice
happiness and wealth for the purpose of friendship. A good friend always
guides his/her friend to welfare and success. He also tries his / her best to
discourage his / her friend from doing illegal and immoral actions.
Today our social situation is seriously polluted because of unchecked sin
and violence resulted from selfishness. Only by making good friendships
can provide largely to the change in this situation. It can make our
personal as well as social lives healthy.

10. Write a paragraph about air pollution
(hãy viết một đoạn văn về sự ơ nhiễm khơng khí)
Pollution means making something dirty or impure. We come across
different pollutions such as arsenic pollution, water pollution, air
pollution, sound pollution, environmental pollution etc. Arsenic is a kind
of poison. Almost 60% of our total population are living under the
constant threat of arsenic pollution.

Factories all over the world are emitting a huge amount of carbon dioxide
every year. Men are destroying forests for cultivation and living. These
human activities increase the amount of carbon dioxide around the earth.
Besides, our air is also polluted with this smoke of mills-factories and
motor vehicles. Sound pollution is another hindrance to a calm life. Horn
of vehicles, loudspeakers cause sound pollution.
All these pollutions are continuously making our environment
endangered. If the situation continues, the earth will not remain suitable
for living. So, in order to prevent all sorts of pollution, we need to create

awareness among people as well as to enforce laws strictly.
11. Fast food: good or bad
( Đồ ăn nhanh: tốt hay xấu)
There are many reasons that many people love to eat fast food. It is fast
and easy to eat food which makes us satisfy. But, recently, we have heard
that fast food is farmful food for human. However, recently, we hear that
fast food is harmful food for human. There are too many researches about
disadvantage of fast food.

I think that fast food has more hamful

properties than benefit ones.
There are some reasons why fast food is harmful one. First of all, fast
food is fried by oil. For example, when it was fried, chemical reactions
occur. By-products of these chemical reactions make us sick or give us
bad effect.

Especially, cholesterol is very harmful.

This material

originally exist in our body as hormone. But It is noxious in blood vessel
and cardiovascular. Secondly, raw materials of this food don’t have good
nutrition for body. To be specific, People know that Ingredient of fast

food is innutrious.

Children too much eat this food are considered

obesity and lifestyle related disease. These children go through growing
season. Therefore, Children too much eat this food are less tall and
health than other children who eat nutritious food.
On the other hand, There are advantage of eating fast food. First, If we
eat fast food by chance, To eat fast food is not harmful. It is convenient
to eat fast food. We live in competitive society. Time is gold. Therefore,
We occasionally eat this food for save time. That is not bad. Second, It is
delicious to eat fast food. Peopel like to eat delicious food. We have
right that we can eat food we love. If we don’t eat too much fast food, it
is okey.
To eat fast food has advantages and disadvantages for us. But, I think
that fast food has more disadvantages than advantages for these reasons.
12. Why should we go to university?
( Tại sao chúng ta nên đi học đại học? )
Different people will have different choices of their own, but for me, I
think there are two main reasons why we should attend college or
university. The first thing that perhaps anyone would think about going to
college is to get a higher level of education. If we want to acquire an
increased knowledge, especially the professional knowledge for a
particular job or a specialist field of work, university and college would
be the most appropriate place. Of course, going to college is just an
option, besides that there are many ways to prepare for your future career.
For instance, for some reason, namely financial problems, some people
can’t attend college but they can still study by other means while they’re

working. Still, I think we’ll get the best and proper training and education
at college. Another good reason for going to college is that you can get
practical and valuable experiences while studying at college. Apart from
the two reasons above, I think people will find themselves many other

good

reasons

why

they

should

attend

college

or

university.

Although it’s not always easy to get through the gate of college or
university, the benefit is so obvious and you’ll have an advantage, a really
good start in your career with all the knowledge, the experiences and a
university or college degree. So if you have a chance, you should really
consider entering university or college.
