Traveling is one of the most popular forms of recreation in the USA. Most American employees

popular vacation periods are during the summer and during the two-week school break on the
Christmas and New Year’s holidays. These periods are also the most crowded and generally the
most expensive time to travel, so people who can adjust their schedules sometimes choose

vacation in the autumn. American vacationers often travel by car. Most families have a car, and
those who do not have a car can rent one. Cars are usually the economical way to travel,
especially for the families. It is also fairly fast and convenient. Excellent highways connect the
major cities. They enable vacationers to travel at an almost steady speed of 55 to 65 miles an

extra protection in order to survive, they also serve as “umbrella” species: helping them helps
numerous other species that live in the same habitats where animals or plants are normally

bears, migratory species like whooping cranes and songbirds, and a host of other species facing
threats also benefit from WWF’ s conservation efforts. Our wildlife trade experts at “traffic”
work to ensure that trade wildlife products, doesn’t harm a species, while also fighting against
illegal and unsustainable trade. WWF is known for acting sound science. Science leads and

Sometimes forest fires have caused serious damage to both private and public property. They
destroy many houses and cause deaths, particularly when they have reached villages which are
close to the forests. It is more dangerous if a destructive fire burns away plants and trees that
prevent erosion. If heavy rains occur after such a fire, landslides, ash flows, and flash floods can
occur. This can result in property damage in the immediate fire area, and can affect the water
quality of streams, rivers and lakes. Wind sometimes makes contributions to forest fires. In
southern California, under the influence of Santa Ana winds, fires could move at tremendous
speeds, up to 40 miles (60 km) in a single day, consuming up to 1,000 acres (4 km2) per hour.

Informal conversation is an important part of any business relationship. Before you start a
discussion, however, make sure you understand which topics are suitable and which are
considered taboo in a particular culture.
In the United States, business people like to discuss a wide range of topics, including opinions
about work, family, hobbies, and politics. In Japan, China, and Korea, however, people are much
more private. They do not share much about their thoughts, feelings, or emotions because they
feel that doing so might take away from the harmonious business relationship they're trying to
build. Middle Easterners are also private about their personal lives and family matters. It is
considered rude, for example, to ask a businessman from Saudi Arabia about his wife or children.
