Dear Human Resource HRD PT Agranet Multicitra Siberkom,
Let me introduce myself. My name is Aidatul Fitriyah, and I am currently a second-year English
language and literature student at Universitas Airlangga. I am writing this cover letter to express my
interest in applying for a reporter on detik.com that advertise on Linkedin and a recommendation from
my lecturer, Mrs. Pujo Cahyo.
Being a fresh graduated English language and literature student at Universitas Airlangga is challenging.
Moreover, being part of one of the best universities in the world gave me many views on the importance
of fundamental change and contribution as a nation's future leader. As an English literature student, I
like to work in research and writing. I already have experience as a member of a journalistic
organization in the faculty, namely "LPM FIB 2021," as a public relations officer who has the main task
of establishing cooperative relationships with external parties and covering events as news material to
be submitted to the redaction. I hope to improve my communication, research, and writing skills by
joining this division.

As one of the online platforms that present a wide variety of trusted news, I believe that Detik.com is
the right place to progress in professional work and make my dreams come true in the future. By joining
this job, I hope to contribute maximally to the company and help me prepare to face new challenges.
During my first year of college, I gained many new experiences and actively developed myself by
joining several volunteer and internship programs. In addition to actively participating in various
external college activities, I also seek experience by participating in several organizations on campus.
Active in organizational activities and independent internships do not interfere with my academic
activities. It can be proven by getting a Magna cum laude degree with a GPA of 3.97. It is not easy to
balance academics and organizations. However, it has become a challenge for me to manage my time
well. I believe I am worthy of Detik.com.
In consideration for accepting me for this job, I will describe my SWOT analysis as follows:
• Strength
Based on the evaluation that I have actively participated in several organizations and committees on
campus, I can conclude that I am a person who has quite good communication skills, adaptive and fast
learning. It was proven when I have often appointed my internship and organizational experiences.
Being a part of Detik.com was a new great experience for me.
• Weakness


Being an ambitious student and actively participating in various activities on campus often makes me a
person who often forgets what to do. For that, I make notes to list all the tasks and activities that will
be carried out, then group them by priority scale and give myself a deadline to complete work before
the actual deadline. This way makes me calmer, and I try to be more detailed in doing something so that
nothing is missed while completing my work.
• Opportunity
By joining this division, I will have the opportunity to expand my networking, develop all my skills,
and increase my knowledge. The experience I get when I join this division will evaluate me to change
to become a better person.
• Threat
Friendship is an external threat because it will easily influence me to postpone all plans and activities

if I have lazy friends. I always filter every time my friends ask me to go, and if it is not helpful, I will
politely decline and use it to do my job.
Thus, I wrote this cover letter to consider accepting me for the job at Detik.com. Suppose I have the
opportunity and trust to apply as a reporter at Detik.com. I will provide the best dedication, competence,
