I. Mệnh đề chỉ lý do
Because/ Seeing that/ As/ Since/ For + S + V… bởi vì
As, since, seeing that: thường đứng ở đầu câu
Because đặt ở đầu câu hoặc cuối câu
For: không đứng ở đầu câu
II. Cụm từ chỉ lý do
Because of/ due to + N/V-ing/Nphr….
Viết lại câu từ Because  Because of:
1. Phía sau because có Tobe, there  bỏ tobe, there
- Sau khi bỏ tobe, there, nếu trong câu chỉ còn lại danh từ, ta chỉ việc dùng ln
danh từ đó
Ví dụ: Because there were obstacles, the building didn’t go along as planned
 Because of obstacles, the building didn’t go along as planned
-Có danh từ và tính từ, đưa tính từ lên trước danh từ  cịn lại bỏ hết
Ví dụ: All the teacher love him because his conduct is good
 Because of his good conduct, all the teacher love him
2. Nếu có hai chủ ngữ giống nhau, bỏ chủ ngữ gần because  Thêm –ing vào sau
động từ
Ví dụ: John got a bad cold because he smoked cigarettes
 Because of smoking cigarettes, John got a bad cold
