Today, life is more and more busy. We always want to find ways to be able to do
more work in a day. With the development of the internet, life is provided more
new helpful things. One of the advantages that the Internet brings is the shopping
online. Our discussion is going to learn advantages and disadvantages of shopping
online.
Advantages and disadvantages of shopping online
1. Advantages of shopping online
As you know, the shopping online is more and more popular in the business in the
world, with the development of technology, connecting internet everywhere,
shopping online will become the most modern trading method.
• Saving time
The big advantage is to save time. You don't waste time driving around the streets,
the shops. Only a click, you can buy the goods. All of the activities happened
online as negotiation payment, delivery. It is convenience and quick.
• Buying whatever
The secondly, you can buy whatever you want and no need come to meet the
partner directly although they are so far from you. Today, almost seller also choose
the internet means to transmit information advertise about their products, so you
can find everything about the goods such as shape, color, size, price, in the
searching websites
• that goods are often cheaper

The advantage of shopping online is that goods are often cheaper as the seller does
not have the costs of running a shop. You do not have to deal with the weather.
You don't get rained on for instance shopping online.
• buying anytime and anywhere
there is the convenience of being able to shop 24 hours a day for any type of
product imaginable. You have a shop never closed. It is always opened throughout
holidays. You can buy in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year also have
trouble attending shops during their opening hours. The ability to shop from home
allows many people who have trouble getting to real world shops such as elderly or
disabled people or others with transport or mobility issues to still purchase the
products and services they need. Many people work the same hours as shop
opening times, mothers with young children and no one to mind them. Finally you
will be able to find and buy products all over the world not just in your local area -
this makes purchasing hard to find items a lot easier.

A huge advantage of shopping online is that you have the opportunity to compare
as many products and prices as you want without having to spend the time and
money to travel between several different shops. You will also be able to read
reviews that have been written by other people who have purchased the item you
are considering; you will be able to find out about the item from a genuine user not
just the salesperson.
2. Disadvantages of shopping online.
• Not assured goods
Because everything is shown on the internet, so we don’t know the partners. We
have to buy the items relying purely on a photograph and description, we cannot
feel or see the items we want to buy. It can sometimes be quite hard to judge the
size or quality of some items purely from a photograph. Maybe we will have the
risks or the goods we ordered that didn’t have the good quality or enough functions
as mentioned in the contract
• Shipping cost

The main disadvantage of shopping online is that you have to pay shipping costs
for the items we purchased to be shipped and delivered. The costs of shipping may
outweigh any savings you made on the purchase price with products from far
place.
• Shipping time.
The goods we ordered could take several weeks if we have purchased a product
from overseas. We will not be able to purchase an item we need to use immediately
online
• To return faulty goods.
The next disadvantage of shopping online is much harder and takes longer to return
faulty goods; we will have to repack it and pay ship back to the seller. It can take
weeks to exchange a faulty product purchased online
• To accept price
We have to accept the price that sellers have given. But if buying goods in
traditional shops, we can bargain. If the seller agrees, we’ll get it at a more
reasonable price.

Through learning out above, we have seen the advantages and disadvantages of
shopping online. We believe that in the future, online shopping will become more
and more wide and common
