IELTS WRITING TASK 2: People can eat a wide variety of food that can be

grown in other areas. As a result, people eat more food produced in other
regions than local food .Do you think the advantages of this trend outweigh
the disadvantages?
In recent times, due to the expansion of the national market, consumers possess more
choices and mostly give priority to food delivered from other religions. As a result, it
emerges from the debate that the trend’s disadvantages outweigh the advantages and I
can see the truth of this statement.
On the positive side, the consumers apparently receive several benefits with the
development of delivering food. First and foremost, before acceptance to transport to
different places, the products are usually checked carefully to assure the quality as
well as control the standard. Consequently, human health can be prevented, and many
diseases due to the overuse of artificial fertilizers or chemicals. Moreover, because of
the marketing strategy to compete with other brands, the buyers can purchase
products with more reasonable prices as well as a wider range of choices. Besides,
several areas possess the ideal condition to cultivate various types of vegetables and
food which can improve the resident’s living standards with higher income.
However, on the other hand, it emerges from the drawbacks that lead to a lot of
negative impacts on society. Firstly, the existence of unqualified food with cheap
prices, fake products, or even food containing toxic preservatives. To assure a goodlooking appearance, the retailers may use several illegal chemicals to preserve them
which significantly influence the health condition of users. Furthermore, other
regions are given priority and almost dominate the local products, and the sale of local
and seasonal food, and specialties is reduced considerably then causing a high risk of
losing the regional cultural identity. Last but not least, to raise more cash, illegal
smuggling exists and results in acute social issues that require police investigation and
interference. Tackling these serious problems, the government has to pay costly
expenses in procedures.
In conclusion, although food from other areas has several advantages for the buyers,
its drawbacks are more considerable while leading to a large number of issues. In
order to eliminate these problems, the authority should implement more strict

punishment to control the quality of food as well as improve the national health
