represents dishes for traditional cuisine in Vietnam
1. BÁNH MỲ
Banh Mi called “Vietnamese Sandwich” is the most popular street food in Vietnam because of its
convenience, deliciousness and the full of nutrients. The components of Vietnamese Sandwich
are very diverse such as pork, fried eggs, pate, cucumber, green onion, butter and chili sauce. All
of these create a unique flavor of this dish.
Vietnamese Sandwich is served as an ideal breakfast and light snack. Today, Vietnamese
Sandwich is not only common in Ho Chi Minh City, but it is also very popular in other cities in
Vietnam. People can buy this dish very easily on the Vietnamese streets.
The next dish is no less interesting. it's pho
2. Phở
Pho originated in the early 20th century in northern Vietnam, and was popularized throughout
the world by refugees after the Vietnam War. Because pho's origins are poorly documented,
there is disagreement over the cultural influences that led to its development in Vietnam, as well
as the etymology of the name. The Hanoi (northern) and Saigon (southern) styles of pho differ
by noodle width, sweetness of broth, and choice of herbs.
Phở is a Vietnamese soup consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat – usually beef,
sometimes chicken. Pho is a popular street food in Vietnam and served in restaurants around the
world.
Pho is often used for breakfast, but these days people can enjoy it for lunch, dinner and even
late night. Pho is becoming more popular with foreigners all over the world, and it is served in
many countries such as: Korea, Australia, Singapore, America…
If someone asks me about a Vietnamese food, I will definitely recommend Pho.
