IncidenceandAssociatedAnomalies
Pulmonarystenosisisthethirdmostcommoncongenitalcardiacmalformation.
Inalargeprospectivestudyofalllive-borninfantsthatalsoincludeddatafrom
theautopsiesofstillborninfants,1thetotalincidenceofcongenitallymalformed
heartswas6.6per1000livebirths.Ofthese,pulmonarystenosisaccountedfor
5.8%.Halfofallcongenitallymalformedheartsincludepulmonarystenosisasa
componentofthedefect.
