NSBHS LOCAL
SCHOLARSHIPS
The following is the 2015-2016 list of local scholarship opportunities. Please read the
requirements carefully and provide all the requested information. Students are
encouraged to apply as early as possible. Please visit our website to check on any
additional scholarship opportunities as they become available. Students are asked to
return the standard/special applications to Ms. Robinson, in the School
Counseling Office, no later than March 14, 2016, unless otherwise noted.
Scholarship Boot Camp – Get a jump on applying for local scholarships by
attending the boot camp on January 29th from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 (noon) in the
Media Center. Get help completing the interactive standard application and writing
your essay. Be sure to bring a flash drive, a rough draft of your essay and a
copy of this list, with the scholarships highlighted, that you want to apply for.
PLEASE NOTE: All scholarships are subject to change at any time which means that they may
not be available due to funding issues, the dollar amounts may change or the number of
scholarships awarded may change. These scholarships are offered as a courtesy by the
community. The awarding of scholarships by organizations or businesses is totally at their
discretion. We appreciate the fact that they are trying to help Barracudas continue their
education. Each individual scholarship requires a separate application.
