INTRODUCTION
Language is the primary way in which people communicate with each other. However,
there are many different languages in the world. English has become the international
language and is increasingly essential to staff in all fields. To be able to communicate
with language differences, translation is a crucial step. English is the bridge between
us and the knowledge of the world. Vietnam increasingly develops and prevails the
English language. Therefore, learning English is also increasingly focused.
Foreign language learning must be done regularly in the right foreign language
environment to improve our foreign language skills. One month of internship at
International EliteTrans Translation Company is an experience and an excellent
opportunity for me to apply the knowledge I have learned to a real job.
I learned a lot at this company, not only specialized knowledge but also social
knowledge. This knowledge will be the action to help me feel more confident when
entering each work school in the future.
I want to express my sincere thanks to the English teachers of the Business University

PART 2: INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROCESS AT THE
COMPANY.
Starting from December 28th, 2020, I conducted a 4-week general internship at
International EliteTrans Translation Co., Ltd. With the permission of the company, I
went to the company on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday weekly,
specifically in the morning from 8h30 to 11h30, afternoon from 13h to 17h. During this
period, I went to the company to learn about the characteristics, functions, tasks, the
operation situation of the company, participate in some of the assigned work as the
intern.

2.2. Difficulties and lessons during the internship period.
Throughout the four-week practicum at EliteTrans translation, I have earned numerous
helpful expertise and guidance that could not have been obtained without the actual
internship process. I find myself needing to try to practice and actively learn more to
additional knowledge, work skills to prepare for my job after graduation.

2.2.1. Difficulties
Since this is the first time I was able to work at a professional workplace, I have
experienced a variety of problems and difficulties, such as:

Working hours and environment: I was a full-time trainee, so I had to
work for 8 hours and got familiar with the company’s culture and environment.
At first, this made me shocked and stressed.

Working in a professional environment that requires high flexibility, I
had to make many efforts to observe and learn the knowledge and skills of my
prior colleagues every day.
•
Heavy workload: Besides, I took in charge of handling a large amount of
workload daily and completing it before the deadline. This made me very
confused when arranging the time and having difficulty speeding up the work.
•
The vocabulary is still narrow, so when compiling projects with new
topics, I often feel confused and do not know what to do.
•
My listening skills are lacking, so sometimes I still interpret lack
information when I join analysing projects of the company.
2.2.2. Lessons
Through this internship, I was exposed to the real environment. In fact, this helps me
gain more experience and become familiar with the working environment, which helps
me be more progressive in the field areas of specialization. Besides, reinforce this

existing knowledge, apply it in practice in an appropriate way and learn. Add a lot of
professional knowledge and experience reality. This gives me many advantages in the

process working after graduation.
During my internship at EliteTrans, I followed suit with the company's working
principles, complete well-assigned work with a severe attitude, working on time,
conducting internships following the instructions of the home school.
Besides, I have received attention and thorough advice about the affection of the
leaders, the receptionists, and I had more skills and experience in business English.
Despite the nature of the work, it is necessary to translate and draft English documents
for many hours in a row, so I'm quite tired eyes. You have not handled well in solving
problems for fastidious guests.
During the past internship, I was able to create many conditions. It is very convenient in
English communication. Being able to interact with some foreign guests to improve
their skills heard. During the internship, I could work in groups to easily exchange
difficulties and learn from experience friends. My translation skills are improved more.

PART 3: THE CURRENT USE OF ENGLISH IN THE BUSINESS
3.1. The practice of using English in the company
English has now become a global language. Among hundreds of different languages,
the world has chosen English to communicate so that people can understand each other.
In recent years, Vietnam's economy has been increasingly integrated deeper and
broader with the global economy, leading to high- quality resources.
Therefore, since the recruitment process, the company has focused on the English
interview, carefully examining the qualifications related to candidates' English in the

recruitment process. Most employees at EliteTrans have useful English input, use
English fluently.
However, the English level of employees in different departments is not equal. Most
employees at the company can use English but most people don't use it to speak. For

example, employees in the administration and human resources department and
accounting department can only read and understand specialized English but not good
at communicating and writing emails and contract transactions. Only employees in the
English team can master all four English skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
Staffs in the sales department are just good at speaking and listening and are weak in
writing. Most of the administrative staffs are weak in English. Simultaneously, in this
department, they have to do the recruitment for the company to only recruit staff
through qualifications and degrees instead of a direct interview.

with loyal customers. Still, it is also a chance for employees to hone and practice their
language abilities, such as conversation skills and other professional practices.
In addition to training incentives, it is crucial to organize suitable courses for
employees. The company should hire experienced language coaches and native
instructors to enhance foreign languages' knowledge for staff, especially train
specialized English for the English team. Through the foreign language learning
process, staff and guides can also improve their cultural and social awareness,
especially cross-cultural acquaintance, as it is an essential element for jobs related to
the language translation sector.
Another strategy to encourage the use of English is bonuses and exceptional salaries
for employees. In particular, employees who can speak many foreign languages, the
staff who make fluent English use should have monthly, quarterly, or yearly bonuses
and grants will depend on foreign languages' proficiency. This approach will promote
the employee's spirit of advancement in the working process.
Finally, the daily use of English, such as exchanging process, using English documents,
and notably, civil communication, should be encouraged. For instance, the company's
records should be wholly written in English. Only this way staff can accumulate more
knowledge and adapt continuously to the language at the workplace.

CONCLUSION
One month of internship at EliteTrans was a valuable time for me to have an objective
view of a company's activities, learn practical experience about the working style, how
to behave and communicate. Above all, this allows me to acquire new skills and have a
clear orientation for my future career. EliteTrans has offered me opportunities to learn
and grow in many areas. I gained a lot of experience, particularly translation skills.
This internship was beneficial for me and I feel incredibly fortunate that I had the
opportunity to experience and learn so many things. My work in EliteTrans was more
than just a way to enriching my experience as an employee. It was also an
unforgettable personal adventure that allowed me to discover a different way of seeing
life.
Through my experiences obtained during the four-week internship and my knowledge
background, I conducted this report to figure out some existing problems at the
company and some solutions to improve using English in the company. I hope that it
would contribute to the company's development in the upcoming time.
