TOPIC : STRESS OF STUDENT
I. Start
The development of industry as soon as society polluted enviroment and
awareness affect has become the factor which result in stress . Everyday, people
have to face up with many things or even with happen around them,overcome
many difficult complicated situation in different ways. Special, in modern life,the
pace of life is fast and hurry. Therefore anyone can suffer form stress.
As we have seen anything of its two-sided nature. Stress can disrupt the balance of
human life, raises many serious diseases,affect quality of life . However, that is not

all . Beside the negative impact,stress is the same salt,it make the life is more
poetic. In this discussion, we research stress of student , the reason ,affect and the
cope to stress of student.
II. Contents
1. What is stress?
There are many concepts of stress :
-Walter Cannon (1927) was the first to introduce the concept of stress.
According to him,this is reaction to be ''installed'' on the biology enables
individuals may respond to the threat agents from the external environment
In the past four decades,compared with the initials period of stress research has
made significant development. Here are some of the notable definitions:
- Stress occurs when individual realize that they can not cope /respond to their
requirements for survival or threaten their health.(R.S.Lazarus( 1966)).

-Stress is the result of an imbalance between demands and
resources(R.S.Lazarus and S.Folkman(1984) .Stress,Appraisal and coping.New
York:Spinger).
-Asimple definition of stress can be used as: stress occurs when pressure
exceeds your ability common to respond (S.Palmer(1999)).
2. Signs and symptoms of stress.
There are many manifestations of the body such as headaches, fatigue,
sleepy, reduced activity, do not focus on the efficiency and thus not as well as
expected, not satisfy with themselves.
- Psychology: Most show signs of change, such as ease of angry feelings,
irritability, discomfort and stress frustrating also affect cognitive performance of
students as difficult to concentrate, feeling empty, not thoughts seamless, clutter
idea, picture in mind. Some signs of severe stress as: Sleeping more than usual,
sluggish throughout the body, insomnia, decreasing memory and disorders, do not
take care of yourself and your family, what work can cause fatigue, feeling
powerless against life stress mind easily startled, feeling inapt. Besides, there are

students who depression . Even some students also have suicidal thoughts .
- Reducing activity: Negative,
not enthusiastic, not efficient,
laziness, don't want to do anything ,
do not take care of themselves and
their families. majority of these
students have mild manifestations: as
lack of energy, less flexible active
than normal, do not care about others,
not adapted to all people around,
losing interest in daily activities, lack
of passion for the hobby .
- Cognitive most students stress are decreased cognitive performance :
Causing trouble concentrating, and reducing memory disorders, error -prone task
resulting in slow thinking not to understand all, not gaining knowledge in the

classroom and not completing the assigned homework teachers, no time to learn
the program. The delay school friends will keep students stress that more and more
severe negative behaviors .

- Behavior change: wasting time,
delaying work, avoiding social
situations causing anxiety stress and
suffering, overreaction, reporting
from the small to the large, self-
isolate themselves, others arbitrary
suppression, smoking more, having
suicidal thoughts even suicidal
behavior.
Keep in mind that the signs and symptoms of stress can also be caused by

other psychological and medical problems. If you're experiencing any of the
warning signs of stress, it's important to see a doctor for a full evaluation. Your
doctor can help you determine whether or not your symptoms are stress-related.

3. Effects of stress
The effect on the body: How to change the heart rate, blood pressure The
bioreactor can help you work more efficiently when under pressure in the short
period of time, but it is extremely harmful to the body if there is a long time.
The impact of stress on health
and life: prolonged stress is
considered the most common causes
of common diseases, including high
blood pressure and heart disease.
Prolonged stress may increase the risk
of mental illness, psychology, leading
to alcohol abuse

Impact of Stress on Emotional: Stress those
almost always immersed in negative behaviors such as mental fluctuations, erratic
behavior, reduced confidence, depression
Impact of Stress on the ability to decide Stress makes people lose the ability
to make accurate decisions, especially when losing confidence "sleep loss of
appetite, upset loss wisdom."
Impact of Stress on families: Stress can make the family relationship breakdown.
4. Causes of stress in school
Waiting in the exam review: Almost 95% of students that are under stress
begin entering the exam. At this time, people have learned more temperately due to
greater knowledge, our brain contains immediately a store of knowledge by eating
insufficient quality .In addition, moderate sleep.
Pressure from family: Current knowledge economy growing so right from

childhood involving parents took their children to learn a lot, not only in class but
also learn to participate in external courses and orientation to the school their child
isn't in their interests. Therefore, they will fear the results of their learning. They
are afraid of being scolded parents should learn in an effort to force, pressure
yourself to yourself.
Learning method is not correct
Students could acquire knowledge
.No lectures, no homework done will
cause fearful mood for class. Besides,
we do not find out how to learn
effectively, but do not understand or
do not want to learn but still try to
learn mechanically. Since then, the
mood became tired and depressed.
That is the main reason causing stress

in learning. In addition, there are
many reasons suchas: not doing
homework, suddenly being called on
the board but can’t answer, not being
confident.
5. Solutions
Students juggle part time jobs with university, worry about assignments and
stress about the future and how to make the next step. Trying to manage all these
things at once can leave you feeling overwhelmed.If you're not careful, working
too hard and worrying too much can lead to "burnout" – when everything seems
bleak and you have nothing left to give.
There are some really easy ways to beat stress effectively. Here are some
that I have encountered as a student:
- A varied and healthy diet

Eating fresh ingredients and lots of
fruit is really important. Juices filled
with vitamin C, such as orange or
grapefruit juice, are said to be good
for your immune system so can help
with stress.

When you're busy and tired it can be tempting just to grab another pizza or ready
meal, but cooking from scratch can be therapeutic as well as being healthier.
- Exercise
Doing sport at least once a week is the
best way to reduce stress. It helps
your body produce endorphins, which
make you feel good. Even daily walks
of 30 minutes can help reduce stress
levels but it's even better to work out
intensively. Even if you don't feel like
it at the time you will feel the benefits
afterwards.
Joining a sports club could also help with
stress as the regular contact with other people should help improve your mood.
And why not try yoga? It's a great way to ease your mind and relax your muscles.
- Meditation
It might sound simple, but sitting quietly for 10 minutes a day can really help with
stress levels. If you've never tried meditation before, it's worth a go.

Good breathing techniques can put you in a more relaxed state as they send oxygen
surging through your bloodstream, helping to calm you down and beat the stress.
-Travel
Tourism is a good stress reliever, it helps your mood relaxed and wiser.

-Take breaks regularly
Short breaks between working can help you switch off. But longer breaks are
important too.
How about taking the weekend off to relax? Make time for fun and for yourself
even if this means that you have to schedule time away from your work. You'll
hopefully come back to your work feeling fresh.
- Sleep (and sign off Facebook)
Sleep is always the best medicine and some people find that small 20-minute naps
can help increase productivity.
As students we tend to spend too much time on social media sites and answering
emails, texts and phone calls. Sociability is fun – but too much of it, and too much
computer time, can lead to more stress.
Failing to switch off from work because of your electronic gadgets will only make
you even more stressed.
- Listen to music
Listening to music can help calm you
down and put you in a better frame of
mind. If you're feeling stressed,
putting on some calming music while
you work could really help.

- Try to see the positive side
If you missed a deadline, try to appreciate what you learned from this mistake: now
you know how to plan ahead. Things might seem bad, but if you try, there is
usually something positive to be learned.
- Laugh
They say that laughter is the best medicine, and it's really true. Laughing out loud
increases oxygen and blood flow which automatically reduces stress.
Not taking life too seriously can help everyone live a better and easier life. Make
time for yourself, log out of Twitter and take breaks. It's about time that we

students accept that we can achieve just as much in life without all the stress.
II. Conclusions
Stress is the subject matter of people all ages. It exists alongside with
development of man . Life without stress there would be no challenge, there is no
obstacle to overcome,there is no new territory to occupy,there is no reason to
improve or enhance capacity. Do you agree with me? So instead of frustrating
and find ways to combat stress,we should live in harmony with it because with
make us develop and improve over.
