Write a biography of Mark Twain
Samuel Langhorne Clemens ( November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910),
better known by his pen name Mark Twain, was an American author
and humorist. He grew up on the bank of the Mississippi River .He
started writing during the Civil War .He worked as a newspaperman in
Nevada and California. In 1870,Mark Twain married Olivia Langdon.
The couple is marriage lasted 34 years,until Olivia is death . In 1904
Mark Twain was also a famous lecturer. He traveled around the
country,giving talks on a variety of subjects. His best novels are The
Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, Adventures of
Huckleberry Finn (1885), the latter often called "The Great American
Novel". And another novel “Life on the Mississippi ” which told of his
adventures on the river boats of his era . His last novel was written in
1909. He died at the age of 75. He is buried in his wife is family plot at
Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmica,New York.
