Writing Task 2: Some people think money is the most important factor for achieving
happiness. However, others believe that happiness has nothing to do with money. To
what extent do you agree or disagree?
Answer
While some people believe that money is the main factor for happiness, others believe
that money is not related to happiness.I partly agree with the aforementioned opinion.
On the one hand, I concur that in all the elements that make happiness, money is the
most important component, because money is used to fulfill people's fundamental needs.
Firstly, when people have enough money they will gives access to food, clothing,
entertainment, education, medical care. People will live a cozy life and ensure family
happiness. Second, when you have a lot of money, even a lot of money, you will be
satisfied with all the interesting things you desire. You can go anywhere, buy any luxury
items you like. This way you can experience a comfortable life, which will make you feel
happy and love life.
On the other hand, I think that money sometimes has negative effects on people's wellbeing. The first reason I think about it is to create a distance between family members.
When people have to spend too much time making money, they are less interested in their
family members. A typical example, today in the wealthy families, parents have less time
to be close to their children, leading to an increasing number of children with autism, so
these families also don't have happiness. The second reason money makes people
unhappy is because money desires are the root of all evil. More and more murders and
robberies are reported on news reports, which will bring unhappiness to both the
offender's family and the victim's family.
In conclusion, I personally think that although money can help to lead a better life, it
absolutely cannot lead to happiness.
