Bolts made from material conforming to BS EN 2398
or BS EN 2399 shall be identified with a code “X ”,
e.g. a 6-32 UNC bolt with an “L” dimension of
0.1 inches and made from one of the two materials
above shall be referenced as “A114X1B” or for
bolts made from material conforming to BS S 80 or
BS S 143, this shall be identified as “A114-1B”.

Bolts shall be marked in accordance with
BS 4A 100:2003, Clause . Bolts for all nominal
sizes made from material conforming to
BS EN 2398 or BS EN 2399 shall be marked with
an “X ”.
