1.Family
We are a poor family . There are altogether nine members in my family , including my father and
my mother . The children are seven in all , four boys and three girls .
My father is a hawker selling fruits in the streets of Singapore and my mother is a
washerwoman . My father earns about 25 dollars a day and my mother is getting about fifty
dollars a month . Though poor , ours is a happy family . My parents seldom quarrel and they are
thrifty .
All my brothers and sisters are studying in English schools . My eldest brother Ronnie is
studying in secondary four in a government school . He says that he will pass this year , with four
good credits at least .
On school days my brother goes to school by bus and we children are in a nearby primary school
not very far from our home .
During the week-end my eldest brother helps us with our studies .

few years younger than father . My sister goes to school . She is sixteen years old . I’m five years
youngers than my sister .
Everyone in my family is good and happy . My father and my mother love my sister and me
very much . They buy manything for us . Sometimes they takes us to the cinema . They also tell us
many interesting stories . Sometimes thay help us in our studies .

Gia đình tôi thì bình thường . Gia đình tôi có bảy thành viên bao gồm ba tôi , mẹ tôi , tôi và bốn
đứa em của tôi . Tôi là con trai lớn nhất trong gia đình , tôi có ba em trai và một đứa em gái . Tôi
đã tốt nghiệp đại học sư phạm Huế còn em gái sau tôi đã là sinh viên đại học năm thứ hai cũng tại
đại học sư phạm Huế , khoa ngữ văn .Ba đứa em trai còn lại đều đã đi học , thành viên nhỏ nhất
trong nhà là học sinh cấp II , nó rất thông minh và lanh lợi và học giỏi nên tôi thương nó rất nhiều.
Hai thành viên còn lại đều là học sinh cấp III , chúng đều học tốt . Trường đại học sư phạm Huế
của tôi cách nhà tôi 60 km , muốn về nhà tôi phải đi tàu địa phương trong vòng hai giờ để đến ga
địa phương . Ga địa phương cách nhà tôi 12 km và tôi đạp xe để về nhà . Bao giờ khi về nhà tôi
cũng mua cho mấy đứa em của tôi và bọn trẻ nhà hàng xóm một ít quà nhỏ gồm bánh kẹo và hoa
quả . Món quà quan trọng nhất là sách vở cho mấy đứa em , chúng rất thông minh , chăm chỉ
nhưng không có tiền mua sách nên chờ tôi mua về vì tôi đi làm thêm cũng có ít tiền .
Bố mẹ tôi đều là những nông dân . Cả hai đều là những con người tốt bụng . Bố , mẹ tôi phải
làm việc rất nhiều để nuôi sống chúng tôi . Vì vậy mà bố mẹ tôi có ít thời giờ để chăm lo sự học
hành của bọn trẻ . Chúng tôi nhờ vậy mà rất độc lập , chúng tôi luôn cố gắng học tập để bố mẹ tôi
vui và họ luôn tự hào vì chúng tôi đều học giỏi .

b.Nguyen’s family .
My family is normal . There are seven members in my family including my father , my

Hue university , chemistry major and my sister is the second student in a literature department
of pedagogy college of Hue university . Three my younger brothers go to chools , the smallest
member in my family now is learning in a junior high school . It is very intelligent and clever
which is a good learner so I yearn him very much . Remain two members studying in a senior

high school . They are good at learning .
The distance from my house to the pedagogy of Hue university about 60 kilometres . When I
gone to home , I used to go to the local railway station by train in a journey of 2 hours then i
cycled to my house by bikes . I bought some fruits and cakes for my younger and the children
of my neighbour as a favour . One of the most important present for my younger is the book to
studying , they are hard-working but they don’t have money to buy book and they expected that
i can buy many book for its because I earn a few money from the out times job .
Both my mother and my father are farmer . They are geniality and they have to worked hard
to feed us . Hence , my parents have a few times to look after our studies . For this reason , we
are very independent and we always go about in our studies that bring the preasure for them .
My parents elate about us in our studies because we are good at studying .
I love my family , I love my mummy , my dady and my younger .

Khi tôi được năm tuổi , tôi đã đi học và bà vào ở nhà gì trong Bình Phước …Tôi không còn
gặp bà nữa và khi tôi lớn hơn tôi biết bà đã mất trong đó …Sau khi bà mất , cây chanh bà trồng
mà chúng tôi hay ăn cũng chết theo …Giờ nhìn cái gốc còn lại của nó tôi nhớ bà lắm…Tôi rất

My grandmother is very old and my grandfather died when I wasn’t born. When I was
young , I’m an naughty and devastating child . Hence , when there isn’t anyone who looked
after me , I ussualy gone to my grandmother ‘s house and rootled anything in the house as
bowls and plates , cup …and placed it everywhere that I liked …even I broken it …My
grandmother very old and now I can’t retain at that time how old was she but she very weak ,
my grandmother can’t sit and look after me all times because she was busy on house work . At
that moment , she take a basin of water and put me in this basin . I could have a good time here
. My grandmother’s house is in front of my house , she lived with my uncle and he also have a
son who is three years younger than me . Sometimes , my parents and my uncle were absent
from home to work my grandmother had to look after both my brother and me very tired .
Sometimes my memory is coming back about my grandmother , I love my grandmother very
much …
When I was five years old , I had gone to school and my grand mother left her house to Binh
Phuoc province to lived with my aunt . I never met my grandmother because she died at there .
After she died , then the lemon tree that she planted that I ussualy ate its fruit also died . When
I see the root of this plant I miss my grandmother very much .

hiền , chăm chỉ và cẩn thận nên được mọi người yêu mến , chú cũng rất đẹp trai …Chú
thường về quê một lần trong một năm và khi về chú mang theo rất nhiều quà như bánh
kẹo , áo quần , đồng hồ cho chúng tôi …và bọn trẻ …Tôi biết công việc của chú ở thành
phố Hồ Chí Minh còn nhiều vất vả nhưng chú là người rất kín đáo , chú luôn làm cho mọi
người có cảm giác an toàn , không lo lắng nhiều …tôi rất thích điểm này ở chú …Thời
điểm mà chú về quê thường là tết và trong những ngày đầu xuân chú thường dẫn chúng tôi
đi thăm bà con ở gần và cả ở xa …chú cúng có quà mừng tuổi cho chúng tôi . Tối rất
thương chú …
My house is next to my grandmother house , my uncle was born and growded here . He
is my father’s younger brother , his name’s Sang . When he gone to school he was good at
learning but when he was graduating who had a serius illness and he couldn’t study .
Hence , he didn’t pass the exam . He was very sad and he had to was off school to work
somebody . Now he is well again who works for a private electronics company in Ho Chi
Minh city . He is very gentle , laborious and careful . Hence , everyone are love him very
much , he is also handsome . He usually go to the countryside about one a year . When he
comes home , he brings a lot of presents as weeks , cakes , clothes , watchs …for us …and
the children . I know the business of my uncle that has also a lot of remaining more
strenous but he is a private person , he always make feeling of safeness for many people in
his house …and I like this nature / character on him . The moment that my uncle go home
is New Year’s day and during the first day of the spring he has a present for me in new
year …I love my uncle very much …

2.About myself .
Tôi là một công dân Việt Nam . Tên tôi là Nguyễn Trí Nguyên , hiện tại được 23 tuổi . Tôi
sinh ra tại một ngôi làng nhỏ ở Quảng Trị . Tôi có 3 em trai và một em gái . Hiện tại , tôi đã
tốt nghiệp đại học chuyên ngành sư phạm hoá học ở đại học Huế còn tất cả em của tôi đều

đang đi học. Em gái tôi đã là sinh viên , ba đứa em còn lại đều đang là học sinh phổ thông .
Ba tôi đã 50 tuổi còn mẹ tôi 46 tuổi đều là những người nông dân sống ở vùng nông thôn .
Tôi rất thích thể thao và thường chơi bóng đá , bóng chuyền… lúc rãnh rỗi nhưng tôi thích
bóng đá nhất . Tôi hâm mộ Real Mađrid và đội tuyển Tây Ban Nha bởi vì ở đó có thần tượng
của tôi , anh ấy là Raul Gonzalez , anh ấy thật tuyệt vời … Tuy nhiên , hiện tại tôi không có
nhiều bạn bè cũng như không có nhiều thời gian rãnh rỗi để chơi thể thao và cũng ít khi xem
bóng đá . Thay vào đó tôi phải làm thêm nhiều hơn và dành phần thời gian còn lại để học
tiếng Anh , dịch bài tập olympic hoá học các nước trên thế giới . Công việc khá vất vả nhưng
tôi rất thích vì nó mang lại nhiều niềm vui …tôi muốn học nhiều để có nhiều kiến thức hoá
học bổ ích để dạy học được hấp dẫn học sinh hơn , hay hơn . Những thời gian rỗi ngắn ngủi
tôi thường đàn , hát hay nghe nhạc …Tôi nghe nhiều loại nhạc nhưng tôi rất thích nhạc Pop
…vì nó rất êm đềm . Trước đây tôi hay nghe nhạc buồn nhưng giờ đây loại nhạc ưa thích là
nhạc sống động , nghe vui tai để tôi có tinh thần làm việc tốt hơn . Tôi khá tự lập trong công
việc và cuộc sống , cũng ít khi phải nhờ vả ai …nhưng tôi quý trọng những gì mà người khác
mang lại cho mình , dù là những niềm vui tinh thần nho nhỏ …
Thật là tuyệt vời khi được sống vui vẻ với mọi người , tôi ước mình sẽ mang lại niềm vui
cho thật nhiều người …đặc biệt là những người bạn và người mà tôi thực sự thương yêu …
I’m VietNamese citizen . My name’s Nguyen Tri Nguyen , now I’m twenty three years
old .I was born in a small house at Quang Tri district . I have three younger brothers and
one younger sister .Now , I have just graduated in chemistry major at teacher college in
Hue university and of all my younger go to school . My sister is a student at literature
department , pedagogy college , Hue university and three brother learning at high school .
My father is 50 years old and my mother is 46 years old . Both my mother and my mother
are famers who live in the rural areas .
I like sports very much and I ussual play football , volleyball …when I have free times . I
admire Real Madrid and Spain football team because my idol who is Raul Gonzalez play
here , he play football very well… However , now I don’t have any friends and free times to
play sports and occasionally watch football match. Instead of do anything now I have a lot
of out times job and I save up the remaining times to learn English , translate any
problems of chemistry olympiad of any national all the world . My job very tired but I like

it very much because it gives me the pleasure …I want to learn a lot of favourite chemistry
knowledge to teach chemistry more interesting , joyful …Sometimes that I have free times
I often play guitar and sing many songs that I like or listen to music . I appreciate any kind
of music but I like pop because they’re very pleasant . Before the day , I usually was
listened to sad music but now I like joyful , live music to get a good spirit .
I’m self-made in affair (job) and life . I rarely commision anyone but I treasure anything

II.My best friend .
I have many friends of several races . But my best friend is a Chinese boy whose name
is Ah Chong . Ah Chong is fourteen years old . He lives near my house. He is not only a
clever boy but also a good boy .
Ah chong’s father is a carpenter . His mother looks after their small shop. They are
very hard- working people . They are also very kind to me .
Ah Chong goes to school with me . We are in the same class . He sometimes helps me
in my lessons . I too sometimes helps him to understand and learn a few difficult lesson .
After school , Ah Chong and me play some game . Sometimes we go out catch some

fishs or birds which we really enjoy catching .We often , return home very later our
hunting trips and our parents scold us severely . But Ah Chong and and I are also
interested in that kind of hunting that we cannot give it up .
Indeed , I enjoy Ah Chong’s company very much .

He is not only a clever boy who is a good boy .
I usually get up early in the morning. After brushing my teeth, having breakfast, I go to
school. My school is not very far from my house, so I always go by bike. It's very interesting to
travel by bike. it helps keep the environment clean. My classes always finish at 11:15. I and my
friends have lunch at school. Our lunch time is about 2 hours. Our practising lessons begin at
2:10 pm. We review and practise what we have learnt in the morning, we do our exercises and
do labour work in the school garden. It's always interesting time for work and passion. We
also have short break for relax in the afternoon. Our schooling of the afternoon often ends at
3:00 o'clock. We come back home and have dinner with family at home. It's a great time to
stay with the family after a hard working day. In the evening, we usually watch TV, or listen to
music. Sometimes we go to the cinemar. It's usually at weekend. Time in the family is always
pleasure but I also love my school and my friends very much.
