SDLC Assignment
1.

What would systems development model approach you use to develop this system?
I would recommend utilizing the Agile Software Development (ASD) approach, as it offers
flexibility and adaptability in the development process (Adaptable to changes, faster
delivery of working software, improved customer satisfaction).

2.

Why is the system a good match for the systems development model you chose?
Agile software development is an ideal match for this system because it emphasizes the
importance of delivering accurate and prompt information, which is crucial for managers.
The Agile methodology focuses on maintaining clean code, conducting regular tests, and
releasing functional sections of the software as soon as they start running.

3.

What would be the advantage of using your chosen systems development model?
The Agile software development approach provides flexibility, collaboration, and testing by
dividing projects into smaller units. This allows for continuous refinement, prioritization,
and efficient decision-making based on resources. As a result, Agile fosters a deeper
understanding of the client's vision and promotes strong working relationships, potentially
increasing customer satisfaction.

4.

What situations might you encounter that would be a problem for the model you
chose?
- Projects with strict regulations or requirements that mandate a more rigid, formal
documentation process.
- Teams that lack experience with Agile methodologies and struggle to adapt to the
iterative, collaborative process.
- Projects where upfront, detailed planning and budgeting are essential.
- Large, complex projects where coordinating multiple Agile teams becomes challenging.

5.

What would be your second choice of a systems development model for this system
and why?
My second choice for a system development model would be the Spiral model. Because of
its emphasis on risk management, flexibility, customer interaction, incremental delivery,
and adaptability, the Spiral model is the second-best choice after the Agile approach. It
strikes a balance between rigidity and adaptability, making it appropriate for a wide range
of tasks. The Spiral model is often chosen for complex, expensive, and lengthy projects due
to its focus on risk management.
