Subnet
– gồm các đường truyền (dây đồng, cáp quang, kết nối vô
tuyến,…) và các máy định tuyến (router)
Router
– là các máy tính đặc biệt nối ba hay nhiều đường truyền.
Khi dữ liệu đến từ một đường truyền, nó phải chọn đường
truyền đi ra thích hợp để truyền tiếp dữ liệu.
