Adolescence can be affected by stress at one time or another, and it can feel
overwhelming. With the right tools, though, you can learn to manage stress before it takes a toll
on your health. Managing daily stress can also lead to a more overall positive outlook on your life

and well-being.
A/_______2_____
Physical activity is one of the most effective stress busters. That doesn’t mean you have to
go for a jog if you hate running. Find activities you enjoy and build them into your routine such as
yoga, hiking, biking, skateboarding or walking. The best types of physical activities are those that
have a social component. Whether you’re into team sports, or prefer kayaking or rollerblading
with a friend or two, you’re more likely to have fun — and keep at it — if you’re being active
with friends.
B/ _____________

LEARNING ONLINE 2020
Between homework, activities and hanging with friends, it can be hard to get enough sleep,
especially during the school week. Ideally, adolescents should get nine hours a night. Most teens,
though, are getting less. According to APA’s Stress in America Survey, teens say they sleep an
average of just 7.4 hours on a school night. That’s unfortunate, since sleep is key for both
physical and emotional well-being. To maximize your chance of sleeping soundly, cut back on
watching TV or engaging in a lot of screen time in the late evening hours. Don’t drink caffeine
late in the day and try not to do stimulating activities too close to bedtime.
C/_____________
School is important, but it’s not everything. When you plan your week, schedule time to
get schoolwork done, but also schedule time to have fun. When it’s time to enjoy yourself, try not
to worry about school or homework. Focus on having fun.
D/_____________
Besides physical activities, find other hobbies or activities that bring you fun. That might
be listening to music, going to the movies or drawing. Make a point to keep doing these things
even when you’re stressed and busy.
E/_____________
Spend some time really thinking about the things you’re good at, and find ways to do more
of those things. If you’re a math ace, you might tutor a younger neighbor who’s having trouble

with the subject. If you are a spiritual person, you might volunteer at your church. If you’re
artistic, take a photography class. Focusing on your strengths will help you keep your stresses in
perspective.
F/____________
It’s so much easier to manage stress when you let others lend a hand. Talk to a parent,
teacher or other trusted adult. They may be able to help you find new ways to manage stress. Or
they may help put you in touch with a psychologist who is trained in helping people make healthy
choices and manage stress.

In addition, the student probably has difficulty in speaking English fluently. The advice

IV. Read the passage and choose the best answer A, B, C or D for each question. (1.0p)
The Cu Chi Tunnels are part of a massive war museum in Ho Chi Minh, which has been
preserved by the government of Vietnam, and turned into a war memorial park with two different
tunnel display sites, Ben Dinh and Ben Duoc. They offer visitors a sneak-peek at the underground
life of Vietnamese soldiers back in 1948. The site has over 120km of underground tunnels, with
trapdoors, living areas, kitchens, storage facilities, armoury, hospitals, and command centres.
After the war against the French, Vietnamese soldiers expanded the tunnels and included effective
air filtration systems, which helped them survive the Cu Chi carpet-bombings. The Ben Duoc site
contains part of the original tunnel system, while the Ben Dinh site, closer to Saigon urban sites,
has their reconstructions made larger to accommodate tourists. In both sites low-power lights
have been installed in the tunnels to make traveling through them easier, and both sites have
displays of the different types of booby traps that were used. Underground conference rooms

where campaigns such as the New Year Offensive were planned in 1968 have been restored, and
visitors may enjoy a simple meal of food that Vietnamese former soldiers would have eaten.
The Cu Chi Tunnels is now one of Ho Chi Minh’s most iconic attractions. You can enjoy
plenty of activities during your visit. A popular option is following the narrow routes of the
underground tunnel. Before entering the underground tunnels, visitors watch a short film of the
Cu Chi Tunnels so that they understand how the tunnel system works. Parts of Chu Chi Tunnels
are also cemented and widened, so that the crawl is less harrowing than it would have been in the
past. There are emergency exit points every 10 metres for safety. Do note that the 100-metre
crawl through the underground tunnels may be unsuitable if you have breathing difficulties.
Above-ground attractions include caged monkeys, vendors selling souvenirs, and
a shooting range where visitors can fire a number of assault rifles. Cu Chi Tunnels has
considerably changed into a new image. It is also the ideal place for eco-tourism because of the
safe and sound atmosphere.
1. What is the main topic of the passage?
A. A famous historical heritage in the south of Viet Nam.
B. An unforgetable experience in The Cu Chi Tunnels.
