A. Aims: By the end of the lesson ss are able to know how to use the passive form
B. Procedure:
I. PASSIVE FORM
CÊu trúc b ng:
a. Cách dùng: Miêu t nhng s kin xảy ra với người và v vật thường bị t¸c động
bởi người và v vật kh¸c. Chóng ta dïng động từ ở c©u bị động khi chóng ta quan t©m
đến hà vnh động hơn, khi chóng ta kh«ng biết người hà vnh động hoặc khi thấy kh«ng
nhất thiết phải đề cập đến người thực hiện hà vnh động.
b. Cấu tróc chung:
BE + PAST PARTICIPLE
c. Quy tắc chuyển đổi c©u chủ động sang c©u bị động:
- T©n ngữ trong c©u chủ động là vm chủ ngữ trong c©u bị động
- BE c chia theo thì ca ng t câu ch động.
- Chủ ngữ của c©u chủ động là vm t©n ng ca câu b ng v v thêm gii t by trước

 Chó ý:
- Không th i câu ch ng sang cõu b ng nu ng t trong câu ch ng
không cú túc từ.
Ex: The plane landed 1 hour ago.


- Nếu động từ trong c©u chủ động có 2 tóc từ, khi chuyển sang bị động, ta lấy
bất k× tóc từ nà vo xuống là vm chủ từ cũng được.
Ex: He gave me a present.
- Vị trí của trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn, trạng từ chỉ thời gian và v trạng từ chỉ thể c¸ch
trong câu chủ động
Một số lưu ý:
* Vị trÝ của trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn, thời gian và v th cách trong câu b ng.
S + { BE} + PP … + ( adv. of place ) + (by + O) + (avd. of time). + ( adv. of place ) + (by + O) + (avd. of time).
VD:Lan bought this hat in Ha Noi last month.
Þ This hat was bought in Ha Noi by Lan last month.

VD: Nam treats his dog badly

* By + them, people, everyone, someone, everything, me, you, him, her, us được
lược bỏ trong c©u bị động.


- Nếu chủ ngữ của c©u chủ dộng là v: No one. Nobody : thì câu bị động ở thể phủ
định

 Adv. of place: trạng tng từ chỉ nơi chốn
 Adv. of time: trạng tng từ chỉ thời gian
 Adv. of manner: trạng tng từ chỉ thÓ cách
Ex:
1). Tom visited Mary yesterday.
2). Hoa put the book on the shelf.
3). They did that work slowly.

Bỏ BY + O trong c©u bị động khi nã cã thể được hiểu ngầm, khi mơ hồ hoặc
kh«ng quan trọng.
Eg: People speak English in many countries in the world.
Không c tách hoc b các phn t của động từ kÐp. (look up, take off, …) khi) khi
chuyển sang c©u bị động.
Eg: Dung looked after my son yesterday.
Nu câu ch ng có hình thc: S + V + O + bare_inf (ng t nguyên mu
không TO) khi chuyn sang câu b ng, nguyên mu không TO phi chuyển
thà vnh nguyªn mẫu cã to.
Eg: My father made me do that work.
