Contrast between eating out and at home
With the development of the society, more and more people choose to use the
modern service which is time-saving and convenient. Besides, eating at home is chosen
by many of use because of its low price. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the
differences between eating out and eating at home.
The first difference is about the price. Eating out sometimes costs a large sum of
money when the place we come is the luxurious one or a well known restaurant. There is
also another spending that we have to cover like tips for the waiters, cost for service and
booking. In contrast, when having meal at home, we can save those service cost by
cooking and serving ourselves.
Another is the difference between the choices of food. In a restaurant, we can
easily choose many kinds of food and special dishes from all over the world. We will be
happy finding whatever we want there. However, in a normal meal at home, we can not
cook many dishes due to its cost and unsupplied tools. The choice of food in the meal
will be limited to the dish we can cook and the ingredients we can find.
Moreover, these eating styles differ in term of convenience. In a restaurant, food
is served very quickly, but we have to spend hours cooking a suitable meal at home. If
booked in advance, we can be served right away in the chosen seats in the restaurant.
Nevertheless, in the family kitchen, we have to work with all cooking tools, get dirty or
destroy the expected meal.
To sum up, there are 3 differences between eating out and eating at home- the
cost, the choices of food and the convenience. Speaking my mind, people can choose
whatever eating style they want according to their characteristics.
