For the time being, going abroad is considered as the new education movement in
Viet Nam. Along with the economic development, more and more families can support
finance for their children’s studying in another country. This chance will bring about
many good effects to the learners such as enhanced knowledge and better job
opportunities. The purpose of this paper is to discuss those effects.
One effect of studying in a foreign country on learners is the large amount of
advanced knowledge and technology that they can gain. In the developed countries,
oversea student can be provided with sufficient study resources and up-to-date
equipment. By practicing with them, students can manipulate the modern machines when
working after graduation. It is easy to find libraries, public studying places, audio rooms
and other extracurricular activities in the university abroad. Studying oversea gives a
chance to reach these facilities and programs which promote their basic understanding as
well as empower their desire for study.
Another is their opportunity to find a good and high-paid job. With the graduation
certificate they receive from oversea university and their ability to handle updated
technology, no companies will refuse their job application. Their ability allows them to
apply for vacancy in an international corporation which require high education level and
foreign language ability and offer best salary. Working in these positions, graduated
oversea students will have their knowledge applied and better job promotion.
In a word, best theoretical and practical education together with promising work
is affect oversea students positively. Globalization makes global education. Therefore,
today, people can choose wherever they want to study. However, besides good effects,
this study movement will also bring out negative ones if not carefully considered.
