The diagram give the information about different stages in the life cycle of insect species
called the Monarch butterfly.Overall,this process lasts for almost 9 months.There are 4
stages in the life process of the Monarch butterfly and in each stage the Monarch butterfly
transfer into distinctive forms.

Firstly,the butterfly eggs are laid on milkweed plants and then the caterpillar hatches out
after 4 to 7 days.It absorbs nutrients from plant leaves and grows up to approximately 2
centermeters between 2 and 3 weeks.Then a stage call chrysalis happens from 8 to 15
days.When the Monarch butterfly ready to pupate,it attaches itself to a branch.

By the end of the chrysalis process,the caterpillar has transfered into a adult butterfly whose
from 7 to 10 centermeters in length.The butterfly feeds on the nectar of milkweed flowers
and continue to reproduce eggs before meeting its end after 2 to 4 weeks. (144 words)
