1. What is a word? => A word is a letter or a group of letters that has meaning when spoken or written. A word is a separate meanigful unit which can be used to form sentences.

- Words can have the typical features:Name of things (noun): House.Indicates activities (verb): Eat.State (adverb): Confident.Troperties (adjectives): Exciting.

Words are tools that represent human concepts to reality.

2. What is a morpheme? => Morphemes are the smallest units in words, it refers to the smallest meaningful element of a word. A morpheme can not be further spoken into parts. For example: chair, dog, table, are all morphemes.

- The main difference is that while a word can stand alone, a morpheme may or may not be able to stand alone.

His wife used to workin a sub-department of the post office where her main job was redirecting mail . Jim'svery pro-army but he over-emphasizes its good points. His wife, on the other hand, israther anti-army and she undervalues its positive aspects.
