THE PAST SIMPLE TENSE:

Affirmative: S + V(2/ed) + O.
Negative: S + did not + V(bare) + O.

Negative: S + were/was+ not + O.

* Signal words of past simple:

THE PAST PERFECT TENSE

* Signal words of past perfect:
